Nate Diaz is now in custody following an arrest warrant for his involvement in a street fight over the weekend.
The UFC fighter first chucked a water bottle at Netflix reality series star Chase DeMoor at a Misfits Boxing event, but that is not the incident he was wanted for. After the event, Diaz was caught in an altercation with a young man who seemingly looked like Logan Paul, which ended after Diaz choked the guy out.
After an arrest warrant went out for Nate Diaz earlier this week, he is in custody as he turned himself in.
Nate Diaz In Custody
The MMA fighter is now in custody in New Orleans, according to jail records obtained by TMZ. Diaz allegedly turned himself in early Wednesday morning, just days after an arrest warrant was issued for him.
According to the records, Diaz was booked at 7:40 AM on a charge of second-degree battery
The arrest warrant went out for Diaz on Monday, just two days following the street fight incident. Within those days, Diaz posted to Instagram multiple times, including the fact that he attended Coachella with Travis Barker -- though it is unclear if these photos were taken recently or prior to the street fight and he just posted them at a later time.
Nate Diaz Chokes Man Unconscious
On Saturday evening, after the Misfits Boxing Event, Nate Diaz was involved in a street fight, which ended with Diaz chocking a man unconscious. It is still unclear why or how the incident started, but the video circulating the Internet does show part of the altercation.
In the video below, posted by social media and YouTube influencer JiDion, viewers can see Diaz take the man and put him in a chokehold before falling unconscious as Diaz walks away.
“Broooo, I’m f*cked up, and Nate Diez [sic] choked out my homie,” JiDion wrote in a Tweet.

Although it hasn’t yet been confirmed, a rumor is circulating that the man involved in the fight was part of Chase DeMoor’s team. DeMoor did respond to the incident, saying, “Nate Diaz top 5 softest dudes in UFC history. Jake Paul is going to have a field day with bro.”
Nate Diaz vs. Jake Paul Boxing Match
Nate Diaz is still expected to take on Jake Paul in a boxing match at American Airlines Arena in Dallas on August 5, and he plans to return to the UFC.
According to ESPN, “The event will be a 50-50 collaboration between Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions and Diaz’s Real Fight Inc. It will be the first time Diaz has promoted himself, the first time he will fight outside the UFC in 15 years, and his first career pro boxing match. Diaz has competed in some of the biggest pay-per-view events in UFC history, and Paul has made a name for himself as a boxing draw despite his experience level.”
Jake Paul called out Nate Diaz after his last fight, saying, “My last fight didn’t end the way I wanted, but the result was the best thing that could have happened to my professional boxing aspirations. Now, the world thinks I am vulnerable when all I am is more focused than ever. My team wanted me to take an easy fight like KSI next, but that’s not how I am built. Nate Diaz is considered one of the worst fighters ever, but he and his team have been running their mouths for too long.”
