Singer Post Malone is suing a rental company over returning his security deposit of a whopping $400,000.

In new court documents obtained by The Blast, the "Circles" rapper seems to be in disagreement with the rental company concerning the alleged damages and the money being withheld when he rented a place in Brentwood.

In the documents, Post Malone -- through his touring company -- is claiming that he was charged too much when he was renting a place in Brentwood and disagrees with the amount of money being withheld over alleged damages. The singer-songwriter claims that DK Developments, LLC breached their rental agreement by withholding at least $338,419.28 of his $400,000 security deposit. Wow.

In the filing, the "Congratulations" singer claims that the rental company "grossly overstated amounts of claimed damages, deducted for items that are plainly not deductible under the Lease or California law, and failed to provide supporting documentation of claimed damages after multiple requests."

That being said, Post Malone isn't contesting that the rental company is permitted to withhold $50,469.66 for utility payments and $11,111.06 for two extra days under the lease agreement that they signed on March 17, 2022. The court documents go on to state: "Plaintiff's damages include the remaining $338,419.28 security deposit."

It's unclear what the "damages" are to the home.

The Blast contained a copy of their rental agreement, which includes miscellaneous fees that Post Malone apparently agreed to by signing the lease last year. One such fee is a "Pool Heating Fee," which costs $300 for the initial setup. From there, the rental company charges a daily fee of $100 per day for every day that the pool remains heated.

The agreement also states that he won't tamper with or touch the pool equipment, which includes a pool heater, pumps, and filters. The agreement also states that he needs to notify the manager if there are water leaks, fire, or other damages. "Guest will leave the Property upon departure in the same condition as at check-in, reasonable wear and tear excepted and subject to Manager's pre- and post-rental cleaning services for which Guest is paying hereunder," the lease states.

Although guests are allowed on the property, the lease does say that there are not allowed to be any parties or events attended by more than fifty people unless the manager had already agreed to it in advance. The lease also states that the "Better Now" singer can't "play amplified music" after 11 PM PT.

Other fees include a re-keying fee of $850 for lost house keys and $200 for lost garage openers. There is also an additional fee of $500 if there is any trace of smoking or related paraphernalia found on the property. Considering that Post Malone acknowledged that the area is under 24-hour video surveillance, it seems likely that there's video evidence to back up what damage did, or did not, occur during his stay on the property.

Malone continued, “I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.” The singer explained that the pain wouldn’t let him give his fans the show they deserved, but he would make up for it.

He wrote, “Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we’re planning right now. Once again, I’m so f—— sorry. I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon.”
