Rapper Post Malone assures his fans that nothing is amiss in his health.
The “Congratulations” singer is currently on his Twelve Carat tour with Red Hot Chili Peppers in Australia. Since its commencement last year, it has been plagued with controversies, such as his hospitalization for his rib injuries.
Now the 27-year-old finds himself shutting down claims that he is on drugs after fans expressed concerns over his dramatic weight loss and weird movements while performing on stage earlier in the week.
Post Malone Insists He Is ‘Happy & Healthy’
As soon as the rapper’s health and well-being were called into question, sources close to him chatted with TMZ, explaining his noticeable weight loss and insisting that there was absolutely nothing to worry about.
In fact, they claimed that he previously gained weight for a movie role but has shed the pounds after exercising and adhering to a strict diet and workout. Also, they explained that being on your and performing a 90-minute set every other night has contributed significantly to his slimmed figure.
According to the news outlet, Malone’s father stepped into the conversation by leaving a comment on a fan video questioning his son’s health, writing, “Healthiest he’s been in years! Mentally and physically.”
Shortly after kicking off his tour, he had to cancel his Boston concert for injuries sustained in his ribs. Late last year, The Blast noted that the record producer released a statement on his Instagram story and Twitter account, informing fans that he’d woken with chest pain and breathing difficulties and had to be hospitalized.
Malone shocked his Boston fans when he shelved the night’s show after being hospitalized. He wrote, “Boston, I love y’all so f—— much. On tour, I usually wake up around 4 o’clock PM, and today I woke up to a cracking sounds on the right side of my body.”
The songwriter continued, “I felt so good last night, but today it felt so different than it has before. I’m having a very difficult time breathing, and there’s like a stabbing pain whenever I breathe or move.” Also, he explained to his fans that the discomfort wouldn’t let him give them the show they deserved, but he would make up for it. He then mentioned that:
“Everyone’s tickets for tonight’s show will be valid for the reschedule that we’re planning right now. Once again, I’m so f—— sorry. I love y’all so much. I feel terrible, but I promise I’m going to make this up to you. I love you Boston, I’ll see you soon.”
Before this incident, the “Circles” singer fell through a trap door during a particular concert but refused to stop the show. However, his manager Dre London, subsequently confirmed that he had wounded his ribs. The artist later posted a Twitter video explaining the fall’s cause. He said that his leg fell through a “big-ass hole” and said that the fall had “winded him pretty good” and “busted his ass.”
The ‘Rockstar’ Singer Tributes His Daughter With A Face Tattoo
The “Sunflower” singer has been focused on his health since welcoming his daughter in June, and like most fathers, he loves his little one so dearly. Last October, The Blast noted how the new father memorialized his baby girl in the sweetest way possible by inking her initials tattooed on his forehead by his good friend Chad Rowe.
The tattoo artist took to Instagram, elucidating his artistic work on the rapper’s body per his request. The image featured the superstar lying on a chair, wearing a light blue t-shirt, with his head laid back and eyes closed. His new tattoo that Rowe had just imprinted on his forehead was quite evident, and it read “DDP.”
Captioning the post, Rowe wrote, “I’m so blessed to not just have a once in a lifetime opportunity, but to have a lifetime of opportunities. And to share it with my favorite people. To all of the posty crew and family, and to all the people who truly make dreams come true, from my entire heart. Thank you, I love you all. #redemption #postmalone.”
