Ezra Miller's lousy boy rep hasn't stopped the success of The Flash. It was recently screened and was well-received by audiences.
'The Flash' First Screening
The trailer of DC Comics The Flash dropped not too long ago, and now the entire film was privately screened to a test audience, and they LOVED it! DC Studios head James Gunn and Warner Bros. Discovery CEO David Zaslav call it one of the greatest superhero movies ever.
These early reactions are a good sign for a film plagued by a lot of drama, especially with its star, Miller. The film is set to hit theatres on June 16, and reviews from this screening will surely drop soon.
The Flash film will focus on Barry Allen returning to change the events that ruined his family. Instead, he alters the future and must work to fix it when General Zod returns and threatens to take over.
The movie is the latest DC film to drop this year following Shazam! Fury of the Gods and preceding Aquaman and The Lost Kingdom.
Ezra Miller'sLegal Woes
The news is shocking, seeing as Miller and his legal troubles have been all over the media, and he isn't wrapped up in some small stuff. This guy was accused of grooming more than one child.
He was also accused of attempting to break into a home and rob it. He was caught on surveillance. Police claim they had "probable cause" to charge the actor "with felony burglary into an unoccupied dwelling."
Miller was also accused of second-degree assault during a traffic stop in Hawaii. He allegedly hit a 26-year-old girl in the head and as had restraining orders against him. The complaint read that Miller "burst into the bedroom of the petitioner(s) and threatened the alleged male victim by saying 'will bury you and your slut wife.'"
ComicCon Patrons Are Going Nuts
The lucky ones who got to see the film at ComicCon took to Twitter to brag about how great t film is. Scott Menzel of We Live Entertainment wrote, "The Flash is hands down one of the best superhero films of all time. No joke, The Flash is the ultimate movie-experience, as it has a little bit of everything! Action, emotion, heart, humor, and plenty of nostalgia. Ezra Miller is phenomenal as dual Barry Allens. Michael…”
"Just watched #TheFlash at CinemaCon. It has some stuff you will not believe, and showcases much more of Barry Allen's powers. It is one of DC's best and fits nicely as a bridge story between the old and new DCEU franchises. It's also the funniest DC movie," reviewed another.
"#TheFlash is a compelling, character-driven flick with a real emotional core & game-changing stakes. With heart & humor aplenty - along with some shocks & surprises - there's so much to be excited for. Keaton steals the show with a terrific performance. A real love letter to DC!" wrote Nicola Austin of Empire magazine.
Fandango's Erik Davis agrees. "DC's #TheFlash is TREMENDOUS! Forget DC; it is, undoubtedly, among the best superhero films ever made. An all-timer. Inventive storytelling, FANTASTIC action sequences, great cast. SO MANY nerdy details. I'm in tears at the end. Everything you want from a superhero film & more."
Okay, so who else is hyped now?
