Kim Kardashian Brings Ice Spice Into The 'SKIMS' Universe

Kim Kardashian is expanding her fashion brand SKIMS by teaming up with Ice Spice.

This partnership comes as no surprise, as the fashion mogul has been known to collaborate with various artists and influencers. The budding star, with whom she already has a close relationship, is the latest addition to her roster.

In the first slide of the Instagram upload on Kardashian's page, the "Princess Diana" rapper wore a strapless bra paired with a Seamless Sculpt High Neck Thong Bodysuit in a striking bronze hue. Ice Spice – real name Isis Naija Gaston, added a touch of glamor by accessorizing with a sparkling necklace and delicate earrings. 

In the second slide, PinkPantheress sat bare feet on a platform, wearing a charcoal gray Seamless Sculpt High Waist Catsuit. Her luscious brunette locks were styled with a middle part while her bangs softly fell on her forehead. 

The third image featured Raye wearing the light gray Seamless Sculpt Strapless Thong Bodysuit and black heels. The dark-haired beauty had her locks parted to the side and styled into voluminous curls.

The last snap showed Nessa Barrett kneeling on the carpeted set, modeling a tan Seamless Sculpt Slip Dress. She kept her arms on her head and glanced over her left shoulder to gaze at the camera.

She addressed her followers in the caption, "Everybody's wearing SKIMS. The next generation of our viral shapewear launches on Thursday, April 27, worn by a new generation of musical stars: @icespice @pinkpantheress @raye and @nessabarrett." 

The post's comment section saw a flurry of activity from followers, with Spice herself dropping a heart-eyed and red heart with an arrow emoji. Barrett also expressed her appreciation, stating she was "so honored," while actress Storm Reid wrote, "Love."

Another fan complimented the brand's marketing strategy, calling it "genius." A fifth user gushed over Kardashian's expertise, writing, "This woman sure does know how to advertise 👏👏❤️❤️." 

Meanwhile, on the brand's page, they uploaded a short promotional reel of the music artists wearing items from the collection while posing on a set. A voice-over featuring all the models could be heard, saying:

"Shapewear, to me, is confidence. This is kind of making me want to wear clothes that I haven't tried before. Everything feels snug. I feel good, beautiful, and very comfortable." 

As the video ended, the stars introduced themselves and the items they were wearing, with Ice Spice concluding, "Everybody is wearing SKIMS." The "Munch (Feelin' U)" artist's debut into the modeling world seems to be starting seamlessly, with credit to her close relationship with the "KKW BEAUTY" founder's daughter, North West.

Ever since the youngster drew a picture of the rapper and posted it on social media, it was evident that she had a new favorite. The Blast shared that the 42-year-old confirmed it via her Instagram story while cuddling her son, Psalm.

As she snuggled the toddler, North could be seen handing her the phone with actress Lala Anthony on FaceTime. Curious about their conversation, she asked, "What are you guys talking about?" to which Anthony replied, "We're talking about Ice Spice." 

It was then revealed that the 9-year-old was a big fan of the musician, as Kardashian lovingly said, "Ice Spice, that's all North cares about."

The reality TV star faced backlash online for allegedly gaslighting her ex-husband. The drama started after she shared videos of her daughter dancing to Ice Spice's music on TikTok. The rapper has expressed concern previously over their nine-year-old posting videos on TikTok.

While most of the clips have been deleted, The Blast reported that photos of their hangout with Spice stirred up more controversy. In the images, the mother-of-four and the 23-year-old could be seen staring sultrily at the camera while North photobombed them in the second snap. 

Although the post garnered many likes, some expressed disappointment with the hangout, like this person who wrote, "Wow, after her dad says it bothers him, classic gaslighting 😢." 

Another suggested that Kardashian was trying to assert her independence and show Kanye that "she does as she pleases." A third dubbed the meetup the "weirdest linkup of 2023," while a fourth opined that she knew "exactly" what she was doing.
