The NFL Draft is just two days away and as teams are getting ready to draft select college players, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce has some words for the potential future NFL players.

"The biggest thing for me is taking advantage of your opportunities. If you're blessed enough to get drafted," Kelce told Michael Babcock on the TMZ Sports TV show. "Take advantage of those opportunities and don't feel accomplished just because you finally made it to the NFL," he added.

He went on to say that being drafted in the NFL may feel like you made it, but there is still so much more work to do once you join a team. "I know it's going to be a very accomplishing feeling, but there's still a lot of work that you gotta do," he said. "You gotta mesh with your new teammates and everything like that. So the opportunities at hand, just make sure you take advantage of it."

Travis Kelce was drafted during the third round, and although if the teams were to redraft today, Kelce would more than likely be drafted in the first round. With that being said, Kelce advises young players not to get discouraged if they are not taken early on.

"It's naturally going to fuel you and make you want to work harder, and prove yourself even more," he said on the subject.

Kelce is not the only NFL player to be drafted late, but still make a huge impact on the game. Future Hall of Famer Tom Brady was actually a 6th round pick and went 199th overall.

Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce made history during this year's Super Bowl, which occurred on February 12, 2023, when they became the first siblings to play against one another in the big game. Travis, who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, took home the Vince Lombardi Trophy as they beat Jason and the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35.

After the game, Travis spoke out on what it feels like to beat his brother on the field at the biggest game of the NFL season.

“There’s nothing you can really say to a loved one in a situation like that,” the Kansas City Chiefs tight end said as he held back tears after the game. “You joke around all the time and say you want to beat your brother on the biggest stage, but it’s a weird feeling.”

The game was a constant back and forth for the entire four quarters, making it an exciting and close ending. On how the Philadelphia Eagles played, Travis said, “That team had great leadership, great coaches and it came down to the end. We have all the respect in the world for those Eagles.”

“There’s nothing I can say to [Jason] other than I love him and he played a hell of a year, a hell of a season,” the Kansas City Chiefs player continued to say.
