Jeannie Mai Shares Snaps Of Mammogram Appointment, Reveals It Is Painless

Jeannie had no qualms with chronicling her mammogram experience for her many followers on Instagram using several images and videos showing glimpses of her bosom.

On her Instagram Story, she began with a clip of her breasts getting checked by a moving and humming transparent machine. Her shirt was unbuttoned but concealed her chest with an orange fruit emoji.

In the following post, a picture featured her with a similar machine while she bared her teeth at the camera. She covered her nipples with watermelon stickers while captioning the snap with “It’s screening time.” A third update obscured the stylist’s face and only displayed her chest covered by a transparent device to which she attached a sticker of syrup being poured on pancakes.

In the following image, a topless Jeannie, connected to machines, raised one hand excitedly while grinning with her tongue out. “Mammo,” she wrote on the picture, hiding her breasts with stickers. A final Story post was of the TV host exiting the clinic with delight, possibly hinting at a positive result from the mammogram.

In the clip, she smiled at the camera before wearing her sunglasses and leaving the clinic while telling the staff: “Thank you, Goodbye. See you next year. Thank you.” Across the post, she listed a couple of things with green check marks for fans to take note of if they planned on getting their breasts examined.

The first was, “NO, it’s not painful,” followed by, “YES, go if you’re under 40 (I have friends who have gotten breast cancer between 30-38).”  Then in the third pointer, she wrote, “They advise going every two years, but I go every year cuz breast cancer runs in my family.”

Less than a year before getting examined, the “How Do I Look?” star opened up about her breastfeeding journey via her YouTube series “Hello Hunnay.” As The Blast reported, she confessed that she had not spoken to anyone in three months about the ordeal before revealing that she did not start breastfeeding immediately after giving birth.

Jeannie wanted to be more familiar with Monaco and was advised to breastfeed her at the time of the tot’s birth to trigger the “colostrum.” During her breastfeeding journey, she believed she would never run out of milk until it happened the first time she fed Monaco when only a little milk oozed from her.

A nurse then told her that that was the quantity of colostrum she would be producing, making her realize that all women’s breast milk was vital. On getting home from the hospital after childbirth, the 44-year-old tried to get her breasts to release colostrum, but to no avail.

She experienced no milk production for three days, despite constantly trying to get her baby to feed. She did that eight times a day within those weeks, but nothing was successful, yet, she did not quit.

The ‘Holey Moley’ Reporter Embraced Her Learning Disability

In December 2022, Jeannie spoke openly about how her ADHD prevented her from graduating high school and still affected her life as an adult. She took to her YouTube vlog, explaining that it was not bad at the start of her education, but it increasingly worsened in high school.

“In elementary school, I got amazing grades,” The “The Real” host shared. “In middle school, I got okay grades. In high school, it got bad. The crazy thing people don’t know is I didn’t graduate high school.”

Nevertheless, she did not allow the learning disability to prevent her from achieving her career and providing for herself as she became a renowned talk show host and stylist for years.

The fashion expert leaned into her “impulsivity” rather than “shying away” and “being ashamed” of the disability, which helped her find a career where she flourished.
