Joe Alwyn Makes First Public Appearance Post Taylor Swift Split

Actor Joe Alwyn just made his first public appearance since it was revealed that he and Taylor Swift had ended their six-year relationship.

Although the couple has yet to publicly speak about their relationship, the "Love Story" singer signaled that she was doing all right when she gave the thumbs-up gesture to a fan holding a "You OK?" sign at her latest concert.

The "Conversations With Friends" actor, on the other hand, looked a bit disheveled as he popped out of his London hotel to take a phone call.

A Taylor Swift fan account posted photos of the actor walking along the streets of London. His hair looks disheveled and he is sporting some facial hair as he clutches his phone to his ear.

He is wearing a black coat over a collared shirt along with camel-colored boots and denim jeans. He carried a camel-colored sweater as he walked along, leading many fans to wonder if the sweater he was holding belonged to him.

“Is it just me or he kinda looks homeless?” one fan commented. “Looking a lil disheveled,” another follower agreed. “I swear he looks different in every picture,” a third fan chimed in.

“He looks rough. No more Taylor magic,” another follower added. “He needs sleep bro,” another fan shared. “He ain’t looking good at all. Hope he is okay,” another follower wrote.

Earlier this month, the “Bad Blood” singer took to the streets of New York City to have dinner with her longtime friend and collaborator, Jack Antonoff, and his fiancée, actress Margaret Qualley.

During the outing, the singer wore a pair of high-waisted jeans that featured a bejeweled butterfly cut-out on the leg from Area Out.

Shortly after stepping out in the pants, TMZ reported that the outfit, which cost $673, has been completely sold out.

Swift is known for dropping “Easter eggs” in her music, but fans felt that the butterfly on her jeans was a signal that she was going through a “rebirth.”

Although things seemed good from the outside looking in, a source told PEOPLE that the split was due to “differences in their personalities,” adding, that the two “weren’t the right fit for one another.”

“Joe has struggled with Taylor’s level of fame and the attention from the public,” one source alleged. “The differences in their personalities have also become harder to ignore after years together. They’ve grown apart.”

However, multiple sources told the magazine that the two had been “talking about marriage as recently as a few months ago.” Unfortunately, it did not come to pass, and it seems that the “Anti-Hero” singer might have been the one to end the relationship.

“Taylor didn’t see them working out in the long run,” the insider added, emphasizing that the “recent” split was “not dramatic” and that the two “are friendly” with one another. “There is a lot of respect still between them,” the source divulged.

One source claimed that the two had experienced “rough patches” in their relationship before, saying, “They’ve had rough patches before and always worked things out, so friends thought they would take some time apart but eventually come back together.”

Earlier this year, reports surfaced that the two were engaged. One insider even claimed that the "Cardigan" singer had a "beautiful ring" that she showed to close friends and family but did not wear out in public.

“Only a handful of people know details about the wedding and Taylor hasn’t even told some of her team about the engagement,” the source alleged. “They want their love to stay away from the cameras as much as possible. This is just for them. And if and when they do exchange vows, there most definitely won’t be any Vogue, Rolling Stone, or Hello! magazines there.”

Some fans even believed that the two had already gotten married in secret, but sources told the magazine that the two had never married.
