The pair, who fans affectionately dubbed “Jaylor,” met while competing on the well-known reality television show, “Big Brother,'' in the summer of last year. She expressed gratitude to fans for “the love and support” they showed her and her now-former beau as they “navigated” their “relationship from friends, to lovers, and now back to friends.” Hale then mentioned that despite their relationship folding up, she and Abdin would continue showing up for “each other enthusiastically” and encouraged their fans to ensure they did the same.

“Ain't no love lost over here! We will always be part of each other's lives. Whether platonic or romantic, we are and always will be, Jaylor,” the 28-year-old concluded. The statement was reposted by Abdin shortly before he shared a picture of his bracelet-adorned hand resting on a red surface on his Instagram Story.

The red object, which turned out to be a boat, reappeared in his ex-girlfriend’s Story in a clip that showed the former lovebirds beaming at the camera. The Michigan native wrote, “Ending how we started,” indicating that they kicked off their relationship with a dip in the waters while confirming their plans to remain friends as they decided to go on the cruise getaway they had planned before breaking up.

During their almost six months together, Abdin and Hale had given onlookers something to wish for as they marked multiple milestones, including their 30-day anniversary. The Blast noted that the duo had posed for a sultry photoshoot to make the occasion, with the first Black woman to win a non-celebrity version of the CBS reality series gushing during an interview:

The lawyer, also there for the interview, added, “Time is flying, and I am so grateful to have her by my side. It feels like yesterday when I asked her to be mine.” Following their split, the exes would focus their attention on their different careers, with Abdin taking a short social media break to help his cause.

Soon after she won “Big Brother 24,” Hale had to become used to seeing her face plastered on multiple social media platforms. The outpour of love touched her heart, prompting her to express her appreciation to fans — known as the “Hale Raisers,” The Blast observed.

The George Washington University alum disclosed that such acts reminded her assumptions, “core instincts,” and the way that she presented herself and communicated with others was “not the person” she was “first understood to be” during her Time in the house.

Thus, it made it extra special for some viewers to see the real her, making her realize that she was not the “villain” she was made to believe temporarily. ICYMI, the hair stylist, had faced continued attacks in the house, including being falsely accused of weaponizing somebody else's mental health.

While she had moments of doubt, Hale never wavered from being kind and eventually got the best revenge by winning the show. She not only won the show but was the season’s America's Favorite Player by voters, making her the first house guest to clinch both honors.

Thanks to that feat, the former beauty pageant titleholder walked away with $800,000.
