It is common knowledge that Lala Kent has not been on the best of terms with her ex Randall Emmett with whom she shares her daughter, Ocean Kent Emmett.

The duo went public with their relationship in December 2017, leading to a three-year engagement before they called it off in October 2021.

Less than two years later, Kent is hinting that she and Randall are in a custody battle for their only child while stressing about how unfair the family court system is.

The “Pitching Love and Catching Faith” actress is not satisfied with the United States family court system as she believes it is "broken." "I see a family court system that is broken nationwide," she began. "When I entered this battle, I knew I was not alone." Kent then shed more light on why she believed the system was unfair. While fans may not be fully aware of how challenging the situation would be on little Ocean, they are aware of how much love Kent shows the tot both on and off social media. In the caption, she penned a heartfelt tribute celebrating her baby who meant the world to her and appreciating those who came out to commemorate the special day. “I wouldn’t have nothin’ if I didn’t have youuu!" she expressed. "Ocean’s Monsters Inc. birthday party was everything and more."

The 32-year-old went on, "Thank you to all of our close friends and family for coming to celebrate my sweet girl," before adding that she was holding it together since Ocean was not 2 yet.
