"Real Housewives of Orange County" star Alexis Bellino's ex-husband has one less legal issue to worry about, with his ex-business partner dropping a massive lawsuit over his trampoline business.
According to court documents obtained by The Blast, Jim Bellino’s former business partner has dropped his $350,000 lawsuit against the reality star.
The documents state all claims against Jim will be dismissed and the case officially closed.
As The Blast first reported, Jim Bellino and his Sky Zone company were sued by his former business partner, Jason Hughes.
Sky Zone is an indoor trampoline park in Orange County that was owned by Bellino. They opened the first location in Anaheim and would later open three other locations. Alexis often helped her then-husband promote the business.
Hughes claimed he owned a 20% interest in the company, which he agreed to sell to Bellino for $635,000.
Bellino’s company agreed to pay Hughes $317,500 once the deal was signed and then pay him 16 installments of $19,843.75 per month. The deal contained a provision that stated if the company was sold to a third party, the remaining balance would become immediately due.
And that’s exactly what Hughes claimed happened after Bellino sold the company this year to a third party. He said the former reality star refused to pay him the outstanding balance owed on their deal.
Bellino was sued for the unpaid balance of $350,000, plus interest.
Now that this legal issue has been resolved, Bellino has been left to battle Tamra Judge in the $1 million defamation lawsuit he filed against her and Shannon Beador, which Beador would eventually be dismissed from.
