Reflecting on his wife's best qualities, the smitten husband gushed: "Your laughter, your spirit, generosity, humor, cheekiness, courage, and loyalty is an incredible gift to me. I love you with all my heart."

At 67, the Australian beauty is thirteen years older than her beau. However, that little number has not dwindled the love that sparked between the pair in 1995. Per reports, the lovebirds met on the set of ABC's hit drama series "Correlli."

The Australian show marked the "X-Men" star's first role out of drama school, while Lee-Furness was already an accomplished actress. Recalling their first encounter, Jackman confessed that he was immediately attracted to the older entertainer.

However, it took a few weeks before the Oscar nominee confessed his feelings because he felt it would be "unprofessional and embarrassing" to be in love with the lead actress. Eventually, the Hollywood sensation admitted his affections at a dinner party and the blonde echoed similar sentiments.

Four months into their relationship, the "Real Steel" actor popped the big question, leading to the lovebirds' wedding less than a year after meeting. On April 11, 1996, the duo said their vows at a church outside of Melbourne, Australia.

"She kind of [broke up with me], a little bit. Early on, three weeks in. I managed to talk her out of it, thank God," Jackman confessed, noting that as an "indecisive person," he was relieved to have clarity about his future with Lee-Furness even before she did.

Four years after their wedding, the dynamic duo adopted their first child, a son named Oscar. In July 2005, they welcomed a second child via adoption — daughter Ava. Regarding their decision to raise children of different cultures, the "Jindabyne" actress said:

"We completely embrace the ancestors and the extended family; they're family to us. And it's in there, even though it's generational. It may be subtle, but it's in there."
