Lori Loughlin may have had some inspiration when deciding what sport her daughters should pretend to partake in when they allegedly cheated their way into USC.

Back in 1980, Loughlin starred on the TV soap, "The Edge of Night," which was produced by Procter & Gamble.

P&G also produced a superabsorbent line of tampons called, Rely, and tapped Loughlin to be the face of a magazine print ad.

Wearing a white swimsuit, a very young future star was seen rowing her motorboat to shore "after the motor conked out." Unfortunately for Rely, the product was recalled later that year by P&G after discovering the superabsorbent tampons were the cause for a drastic rise in toxic shock syndrome among women.

However, the advertisement may have had an impact on Loughlin who allegedly, along with husband Mossimo Gianullis, staged her daughters as crew coxswains for the L.A. Marina Club team.

According to the charging documents, the "Fuller House" star and her husband also "agreed to pay bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for having their two daughters designated as recruits to the USC crew team."

Loughlin's daughter, YouTube star Olivia Jade, also allegedly took a picture on a rowing machine and set up a fake crew profile to gain admission to the university.

As we reported, Loughlin is expected to surrender to authorities Wednesday morning on charges of mail fraud. Her husband, along with actress, Felicity Huffman, appeared in court Tuesday afternoon after their arrests.
