The Kardashian family’s love for the player was evident when he lost his mom in January. Recently, the 32- year-old switched clubs and Rob Kardashian gave his blessings for the move.

As news of the NBA star’s switch to the Lakers made the rounds, the “KUWTK” alum indicated his support for him. Rob reposted the Lakers’ official announcement of Thompson joining the club to his Instagram stories.
The post featured a portrait of the star player wearing the club’s jersey in all smiles. Also included in the photo were the player’s details—height, weight, and the season. Alongside the repost, Rob noted his excitement towards the news in the caption. He wrote, “Let GOOO‼️,” before tagging Thompson to the post.
The 36-year-old, who shares daughter Dream with Blac Chyna, wasn’t the only Kardashian who reacted to the post. Reportedly, the Good American founder also subtly declared her support for her baby daddy’s achievement.
Recall that the mom of two and the athlete separated after news of him cheating on her with Maralee Nichols and fathering a son Theo from the affair. Since the breakup, the ex-lovers haven’t gotten back together.
However, they have been seen hanging out, sparking rumors of continuing their relationship. Nonetheless, the media influencer debunked such rumors, claiming that she has no man. Despite denying several rumors of getting back with her baby daddy, the “Revenge Body” star dropped a “like” on the Los Angeles team’s official reveal.
According to reports, the Los Angeles basketball team signed two players, Thompson, and Shaquille Harrison, ahead of the NBA playoffs. The former Chicago Bulls star would reunite with his former Cleveland Cavaliers teammate LeBron James.
Since January, the 32-year-old, who lost his mom earlier this year, had been an NBA analyst on “NBA Today” and other ESPN programs. The Canadian star joining the Lakers would give added depth to the center position as “a potential backup” for Anthony Davis and Jarred Vanderbilt.
Thompson joins the Lakers, having last played in 2021-22 for the Chicago Bulls, where he made his mark averaging 5.7 points and 4.7 rebounds in 23 games. Playing alongside James, Thompson pivoted the Cavaliers’ four straight trips to the NBA Finals from 2015 to 2018. He has also played for the Boston Celtics, Sacramento Kings, and Indiana Pacers.

A source close to both revealed the basketball player’s excitement about the change to the news outlet. The source said, “Khloé and Tristan live 2 miles from each other in Hidden Hills. Tristan is thrilled about having his place so close to Khloé so he can visit her and the kids as often as possible.”
The source continued, “He knows they’re always going to be in each other’s lives because of their children. But that doesn’t mean he hasn’t been trying.”
Additionally, the source emphasized that the Canadian was outdoing himself to be the best dad. The source revealed, “At this point, he feels like all he can do is be the best father to their kids and show Khloé over time that he’s there for their family.”
