William H. Macy Sued By Neighbor For $600,000, Accused Of 'Killing' His Trees

William H. Macy is being accused of trespassing on his neighbor's property to "kill" several trees, and now he is being sued for $600,000.

According to new legal documents obtained by The Blast, the famous actor is being dragged back to court only a few years after being wrapped up in the college admissions scandal.

In the new filing, a neighbor of the actor's in Los Angeles claims that in December 2021, the 'Shameless' star hired a few workers to help him remove several trees on his property. The happy chainsaw cutters allegedly took their job a little too seriously and overcut and took down several trees that weren't Macy's property.

The neighbor, Pierce Brown, claims was out of town at the time and unable to stop the workers from cutting down trees, bushes, and foliage on his private property.

Upon returning from vacation, he says he witnessed the destruction.

The lawsuit states, "Macy's workers then destroyed and removed or seriously damaged several healthy, decades-old mature pine trees and other vegetation from the Brown Property. The pine trees and other vegetation were well inside the Brown Property line. In accessing the Brown Property, Macy's workers damaged the gate that connected the two properties."

The Boogie Nights actor acknowledged the work that was done, but Brown believed it was on purpose despite his famous neighbor describing it as an honest accident.

"Defendant Macy came to Brown's door to discuss the condition of Brown's hillside. Macy acknowledged the entry of his workmen onto the Brown Property, their lack of permission to do so, and their destruction and removal of, and damage to, the Brown's trees and vegetation," reads the court papers.

Still, Brown states, "During his ownership, possession, and control of the Macy Property, without consent or authority, and against the will of (Brown), Macy knowingly and intentionally instructed his workers to enter onto the Brown Property to destroy and remove multiple large, mature pine trees as well as other vegetation from the Brown Property."

This sounds like it's chalking up to an episode of neighborhood wars on the Investigation Discovery channel.

Macy's neighbor went full tilt, claiming the trees were "killed" and it's made a mess of the entire yard.

He wrote, "The actions of Macy and his workers destabilized the hillside by killing the trees and vegetation, and thereby, killing the root systems of the trees and vegetation that helped support the hillside's stability. Defendants further damaged the gate connecting the two properties."

Brown is worried his property value is plummeting, saying, "The conduct of Macy and the other Defendants also caused Brown a loss of property value, loss of use and enjoyment of his property, a loss of privacy, an increase in noise, as well as emotional distress, irritation, annoyance, and discomfort."

Finally, Brown claims to have "suffered damages in that he is now forced to undertake significant expense to restore stability to the hillside that was lost by the (Macy's) destruction of Brown's pine trees and other vegetation."

William H. Macy is being sued for "Trespassing, Negligence, and Private Nuisance," -- and the neighbor is looking for a minimum of $600,000!
