Kim Kardashian Is Richer Than One Of The World's Most Famous Athletes

According to Forbes, Kim Kardashian is racking in the dough!Enough to be richer than superstar athlete LeBron James and many more surprising superstars.

The mogul made the Forbes list again at #2259 thanks to being a part of the billionaire's club. Kardashian has made a list for several years in a row now. Forbes describes Kardashian as parlaying "reality TV stardom into a ten-figure fortune, the vast majority of which comes from her stake in Skims, her shapewear business."

Apparently, Kardashian owes most of her wealth to her shapewear brand. By January 2022, it has made $240 million. The company is worth $3.2 billion now, which isn't hard to believe, as Kardashian is constantly promoting it on social media.

She has even leveled up her promotions to include notable celebs like SZA and actress Megan Fox who she boasts as a friend. While Kardashian is worth $1.2 billion, her income dropped a bit this year. Still, Forbes is chalking this up to her paying $23 million to keep the family's Hidden Hills home, which she shared with ex-husband Kanye West.

Is this shocking to anyone else? James is the biggest name in basketball, and he has many endorsements to pull from. We aren't saying that a $1 billion net worth isn't fantastic. It just seems like LeBron should have more than that by now.

This is the professional athlete's first year on the list, coming in at #2540 richest in the world and sharing the spot with many others in the $1 billion category, like professional golfer Tiger Woods. We would be remiss if we didn't mention that he is also the first NBA player still active in the league to make a list.

A majority of his income came from endorsement deals. He makes upward of $900 million in endorsements from Walmart, PepsiCo, and Nike.

The rest of his moolah comes from being a top-line player in the league. James has made $431 million from playing with the Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and the Los Angeles Lakers. Not too bad for a first-timer.

One would assume that after all those films and awards would have gotten Tyler Perry past $1.2 billion by now; alas, he is sitting pretty at $1 billion, first making a list in 2021. He is tied with Bronny and Tiger, but seeing the athlete is on the rise, he may be closer to or passing Kardashian by next year.

Perry apparently killed off his "Madea" franchise, $660 million to be exact, and that was after taxes; thank you! He owns 100% of his work, which goes back to the 90s and even owns a studio that opened in 2019 and is ever-expanding.

Perry also produced content for Oprah's OWN network for about seven years, taking a paycheck from different side hustles. Most recently, Perry was rumored to be one of the people hoping to purchase BET and its properties.

The mom of four, baby lawyer, advocate, fashion designer, and muse has a coveted spot on the list, and it's never safe with brands like Spanx and Sriracha on her heels. Sara Blakely, Spanx's founder, is close behind Kardashian at #2405. She hopped on the list in 2020 and has been steadily climbing higher.

According to Forbes, unlike the reality TV star, she hasn't dipped in sales. Another famous brand that is shockingly not ahead of Kardashian is the hot sauce brand owned by David Tran and his family. Sriracha is available in many places and has become the universal word for hot sauce.

The brand is worth $1 billion and is currently sitting at #2540 in the world.
