Although Jackie Bonds and Marshall Glaze are currently engaged on season 4 of “Love Is Blind,” although when the cameras stopped rolling on episode 8, it looked like Jackie might have skipped out on her bridal fitting to meet with Josh Demas, who also expressed interest in her while they were in the pods.

In episode 4, “Playing With Fire,” fans were surprised to see Jackie start crying, even though they had enjoyed a playful margarita lunch date earlier that day. Jackie told Marshall that she was worried about her family back home and cries about how she had to “go back to that s---.” She also mentions that she has “so many people to take care of.”

In a candid conversation with Entertainment Weekly, Jackie revealed that she has to provide for her family because her father has cancer and her brother is being released from prison.

"My father, he's sick," she explained. "He has cancer, so I have to take care of him when I go home every weekend. I make sure that my parents are good, the bill is paid — my dad can't work no more. I have a lot of family stuff that I have to tend to. Family always comes first. And also, my brother being released from prison, it's like I have another person to take care of."

"My life is not for someone who can't be up to par in supporting me, and just making sure that you understand my life and knowing that this is always going to be a part of me," she adds. "That was an emotional moment for me because I didn't feel like, at that moment, Marshall was up to par and ready for all of the reality that I have back home."

For his part, Marshall told the outlet, “That was extremely personal to Jackie and it’s not my place to speak on it. I’m just glad that I was there to help her through that.”

Jackie took a screenshot of the interview and shared it on Instagram along with a photo of her female "Love Is Blind' season 4 costars. “Making sure my family is good before I’m good,” she wrote in the caption. “My father at the time was fighting Stage 2 Head and Neck Cancer, had a feeding tube in his stomach, had the back of his tongue removed, and had 11 cancerous lymph nodes removed from his neck a few months before I filmed the show.”

“I come home every weekend to make sure I pay his bills, clean the house, and make sure my father and mother are good,” she continued. “I felt guilty being happy and enjoying my time in Mexico because my family deserves time away.”

“My ‘mental breakdown’ in Mexico was all the emotions of being head of the house, having my family depending on me, and having the weight of my emotions and feelings all colliding at once,” she added. “I will always take care of my father, cancer will never take him from me.”

Many of her costars showered the post with heart emojis while others questioned why she would take so much time to appear on a reality TV show if she was needed so much at home. “Why did you go on the show if your family needed you?” one fan asked.

“I mean ya all that is understandable but why would you go on a reality dating show looking for MARRIAGE if you have a lot going on back home?” another follower asked. “Exactly! Just go and fix your life before wanting to be in a relationship. She needs a therapist, she’s emotionally unstable,” another user replied.

In the last few episodes, Jackie has received criticism from fans for the way that she was treating her fiancé. Although she said that she was stressed out because her family wasn’t happy that she appeared on the show in episode 7, by episode 8, the couple had a big fight that led to Marshall staying at his own place.

Marshall admitted that Jackie had said some hurtful things to him, such as telling him that he “wasn’t a man.” Jackie later told him that he needed to “boss up” and be more “aggressive” with her, which has fans wondering if the two truly belong together.

Episode 9 of season 4 of "Love Is Blind" seemingly shows Jackie skipping the bridal fitting to meet with Josh, which might just put an end to their relationship. That episode airs on Friday, April 9, on Netflix.
