Simone Biles Hints At Family Plans With Furry Kids And Name Change

Award-winning athlete Simone Biles seems to be eager to make a family with her fiancé of over a year, American football player Jonathan Owens.

The engaged couple has been an item since August 2020 and eventually progressed with their relationship when they announced their engagement in February 2022. 

Biles did not hesitate to make some changes since the engagement, and most recently, she did so with the names of their pets — more like kids — Lilo and Rambo.

The 4 ft 8 inches stunner recently changed the last names of her dogs, more than a year after getting engaged to the love of her life Owens.   As seen on her Instagram Story, she dropped a photo of her pups' new names written on their grooming session cards, which she held in her sweater-clad hand.

Their names, "Lilo Owens" and "Rambo Owens," were penned on separate cards with the name of their groomer and the date of their grooming, Wednesday, March 29. Biles added a message in pink, matching the similar colored cards, and it read, "I guess the dogs were changing their last name too."

Her exciting update comes in the wake of her and her partner's plans to build a home together after purchasing a property earlier this month amid their wedding preparations. The artistic gymnast informed her numerous followers about the latest purchase, noting that the twosome was clearly on cloud nine.

The post featured three slides, including one showing the lovers together on the hollowed-out land with some trees cut down to reveal a vacant part of the property surrounded by tall trees.

Biles wore a purple tracksuit for the outing and photographed herself pouting at the camera while Owens wrapped his arms around her neck and smooched her earlobe. In the second slide, the NFL star backed the camera as he gazed at the horizon, possibly entranced by the lake close to the property. There was also a house on the other side of the water.

Fans got a closer look at the excavated land in the final slide. The uprooted trees were piled up on one side while several others remained standing. Acknowledging the couple's intention to build a home filled with good memories, Biles captioned her post, "a home is made with love & dreams. Cheers to breaking ground."

Not long after, the comments were filled with gushing remarks as fans congratulated the partners on the new development. Owens led the messages by exclaiming, "So excited!!!!!" alongside a red heart emoji, expressing his affection.

"Love this stage of life for you," famous journalist Elaine Welteroth wrote while retired gymnast McKenna Lane Kelly sent well wishes by congratulating "the Owens."   Another fan appreciated the Ohio-born athlete for sharing the momentous update as they wrote, "I love when people do [this] because it's a whole journey for the followers too, lol."

Biles is always sure to include her fans in the ongoings of her life, just like she did during her elaborate bachelorette celebration last month. She shared highlights from the bachelorette via a snap of a hotel bed filled with luxurious gift items as she rocked a white shirt with the words "Bride and Boujee."

The room was lavishly decorated with gold and white adornments, while the bed had several gift bags, including a sash that read, "Future Mrs. Owens."

Biles marked her 26th birthday on Tuesday, March 14, with the perfect words from her soulmate, who looked forward to seeing her become his wife.

As The Blast reported, Owens took to Instagram with multiple beautiful photos of the celebrant in different sceneries and alongside a tribute that began: "Happy birthday to my beautiful fiancée – I can't wait to experience the world [with] you, SB. I've grown so much as a person since we've been together; shown me a different side of myself."

He went on with flattering words for his woman whose "energy and smile" was "so addicting" that he could not get enough of it. 

The sportsman further toasted to "celebrating many, many more birthdays together" before ending with: "I love you so much baby, can't wait until you're my wife."
