Alana ‘Honey Boo Boo’ Thompson’s Sister Battling Stage 4 Cancer, Confirmed By Family

Here Comes Honey Boo Boo star Anna “Chickadee” Cardwellrevealed her stage 4 cancer diagnosis after multiple stomach aches.

The mom of two underwent a handful of tests after her stomach was non-stop hurting here at varying degrees of intensity. Cancer was discovered in her liver, kidney, and lung. Her siblings and mom, June Shannon are reportedly “very hopeful” that she will beat this diagnosis for herself and her kids.

According to TMZ, she has already gone through her first round of chemotherapy and is resting up before tackling her next round. Anna and her ex-husband, Michael Cardwell share two daughters.

Kaitlyn, 10, and Kylee, 7, were seen on some of the family’s reality shows with Kaitlyn being born while Cardwell was filming Here Comes Honey Boo Boo.

The 28-year-old became privy to her cancer diagnosis when she was struggling more than normal to conceive and when she did conceive she was unable to carry to full term resulting in multiple miscarriages.

She shared with The Sun in 2021 “It’s been a long, bumpy road for us. It’s been difficult,” she admits. “I don’t make enough progesterone. I don’t have enough in my system, so it keeps the baby from getting enough nutrition.”

She and her current fiancé Toney’s biggest problem used to be deciding if they really wanted to walk down the aisle mainly Cardwell after her rocky marriage to ex-husband Michael and now they are dealing with something so much bigger.

At the time, she said “You never know what will happen,” and shared that she and Toney wear promise rings. “I always tell him marriage is just a piece of paper saying ‘Hey you’re married.’ Plus her mom just got married!

“I told myself if we make it past four years, then we can talk more about it.”

The support that Cardwell has been receiving online has to be warming the Walmart employee’s heart! “Praying for you sweet girl. ❤️ you got this!” wrote a concerned follower. more like that came rolling in to encourage Cardwell through her treatments.

“Thinking of you hun. Im not sure if its true what i heard. But you've got this hun. Your a strong woman x.”

“Oh Anna I am so so sorry for your and your family. My heart is broken for you. Praying so so hard ?? ❤️,”

“Praying for you chickadee ❤️❤️❤️,” wrote another follower who called the reality star by the loving pet name her mom and sisters refer to her as.

As we mentioned, Cardwell’s diagnosis is stage 4 and that normally isn’t the greatest diagnosis to get from a doctor, it sometimes means you're in for a long battle, and like Chickadee, it can also indicate the cancer has spread throughout the body.

Cardwell has not publicly come out and shared her diagnosis on any of her social media platforms. She is focused on her kids and getting her health back in order. But her baby sister, Thompson commented on her IG.

"& this is what I mean when I say you never truly know what somebody is going through at home. no matter how famous they are. yes, I'm very famous but normal shit happens to me and my family & y'all need to realize that asap."
