Despite rumors that Wendy Williams's new podcast was canceled before it started, it’s not true! And even more, is coming.
Wendy Williams Is Coming
The former talk show host is ready to get out there again after dealing with health issues. She is relaunching her career and yes, the podcast is still one of the many things on the list of what’s to come.
“We are still working behind the scenes on several projects. There has been no official cancellation of the podcast,” Shaw Zanotti, Williams’ publicist, told Page Six. Last week, we reported that Williams' long-awaited podcast was shelved, and the promo website was no more.
“There is no podcast,” close sources claimed to The Sun. “It’s strange, because she is saying there is no podcast, but is also telling people she will return to TV. It’s hard to figure out what is based in reality.”
The podcast was supposed to be recorded at her New York City penthouse. The $4.5 million residence is enough space for Williams to host guests and set up a small team to assist in her podcast's day-to-day necessities.
The ‘Wendy Experience’ Site Is Still Up
Williams was recently spotted drinking and having a good time at Fresco by Scotto. She then headed to New York City gay bar The Townhouse, later that night to continue her good time.
The shock jock was supposedly chatting it up about all the projects she has on the horizon and her excitement to pursue them. “She had a huge crew that basically turned [the restaurant] into a movie set … approximately 30 people in the crew,” claimed a source.
Williams is said to have a reality TV show in the works as well so that could be why all the crew was there to turn it into a movie set. “Lights, cameras, audio, producers, etc. [It] looked like a reality show,” the source said in shock.
The scene being filmed was Williams having dinner with an old friend. People around called out the host to have a drink.
Is Wendy Williams Drinking Problematic?
Williams was hoping to enjoy her drink in peace but seeing as she went to rehab in a pretty public way, her drinking, especially in public, will get some looks from those around her. it was only last month that Williams completed two months in rehab.
“Wendy is excited about the road ahead and looking forward to releasing her many projects,” a publicist for Williams said back in October 2022 when she exited the facility. At the time, she was supposedly struggling with alcohol abuse.
“It’s gotten worse,” shared a source in October. “She went from wine to straight up vodka.” Now that Williams is back on track she also expressed interest in owning a restaurant and even turned to Fresco by Scotto owner, Rosanna Scotto for guidance.
The Good Day New York co-host said of Williams' favorite menu items, “She loves the meatballs at Fresco.” Scotto joked to Page Six:
“I don’t know if she wants me to waitress or what,” Scotto joked, “but she did tell me she wants to open her restaurant and she wants me to help… If there is [a restaurant] from Wendy, it will be big competition, but I love her.”
