Selena Gomez & Zayn Malik Spark Romance Rumors After Spotted KISSING During Dinner Date

Selena Gomezhas stirred up rumors of a new relationship after an allegedly romantic date with Zayn Malik. The singer and Disney alum were seen kissing on a dinner date on Thursday in NYC.

The rumors initially began when fans noticed that Malik had newly followed Gomez's Instagram account. The former 1D member ended things with model Gigi Hadid with whom he shares a two-year-old daughter, in 2021.

Gomez herself was romantically linked to stars like The Weeknd and Justin Bieber. The new dating rumors are supported by a previous video of Gomez where she admitted to wanting to kiss Malik, who was in One Direction at the time.

TikTok user Klarissa Garcia claimed in a viral video that Gomez and the "Pillowtalk" singer were romantically involved. She shared a screenshot of a conversation with a hostess she was friends with, who saw the two waltz into a Manhattan restaurant. Gomez and Malik were "hand in hand" and "making out" as she seated them for their dinner.

The duo allegedly enjoyed their time out, which lasted for two hours. In a conversation with Page Six, Garcia noted that the restaurant was located in Soho and was "pretty public." The 30-year-olds were not trying to keep their romance on the low, as their table was in the center of the celebrity-famous eatery.

The TikToker added that "no one noticed them" despite their PDA, "except for" the hostess. She explained that people around there were so used to celebrities that they didn't pay much attention anymore. Garcia said, "no one really cares about famous people in New York."

Rumors of romance with Malik started when the "Dusk Till Dawn" singer followed Gomez on Instagram in March 2023. Malik added to the "Wizards Of Waverly Place" actress' over 403 million other followers, recently earning her the title of the most followed woman on the app.

Malik's choice to follow Gomez was particularly interesting as he only follows 18 users on his account. He previously unfollowed ex-girlfriend Gigi Hadid after he ended things with the model with whom he shares a two-year-old daughter Khai.

After five years of on-and-off romance, their split followed allegations of Malik hitting Hadid's mother. Although he denied the claims, the duo remained separated and agreed to co-parent Khai.

The "Only Murders In The Building" actress took to her Instagram stories in January to announce that she was single after rumors of a relationship with Drew Taggart. Gomez and The Chainsmokers member fueled romance rumors as they were spotted getting cozy while on a Brooklyn date.

Gomez has been romantically linked with other stars before the 33-year-old DJ. She previously shared one of Hollywood's most popular on-and-off relationships with Canadian singer Justin Bieber. The two finally ended things in 2018, before Bieber proposed to Hailey Bieber months later.

Gomez subsequently dated singer The Weeknd and was romantically linked with Charlie Puth, Orlando Bloom, Samuel Krost, Russian-German DJ Zedd, and another former One Direction singer, Niall Horan.

The relationship rumors with Malik are not unfounded, as the "Heart Wants What It Wants" singer previously expressed her interest in the former One Direction member. In a 2010 clip, Gomez revealed that she would like to kiss Malik of all the other singers in the boy band.

The duo is yet to comment on the relationship speculations, but fans are excited about the budding romance. 

Amid the Zayn Malik romance speculations, Gomez also made headlines for her message, pleading with fans to stop bullying Hailey Bieber. There'd been an ongoing hate trend against the model on social media following allegations that she and her best friend, Kylie Jenner, were mocking and throwing shade at Gomez.

Gomez took to Instagram to condemn the actions of some of her fans, saying, "This isn't what I stand for. No one should have to experience hate or bullying. I've always advocated for kindness and really want this all to stop."

In response to Gomez, Hailey thanked the "Lose You To Love Me" singer for speaking out on the issue.
