Mark Zuckerberg & Priscilla Chan Unveil The Name Of Their Third Child

Mark Zuckerberg and Priscilla Chan are officially parents of three!

The power couple has been married since 2012, previously welcoming daughters Maxima and August in 2015 and 2017, respectively. In a new post, the proud father unveiled their beautiful surprise.

The CEO of Meta announced the happy news on his Instagram account on Friday and shared two photos of the couple with their newborn. The first slide saw the doting dad looking overjoyed and soaking up the precious moments with their new addition.

A swipe to the left revealed the philanthropist lying on a hospital bed, undressed with a white blanket covering her and the newborn cradled on her chest. "Welcome to the world, Aurelia Chan Zuckerberg! You're such a little blessing," Zuckerberg wrote in the caption. 

The post, which has already garnered over 400,000 likes, contained comments from fans who welcomed the tiny tot and expressed excitement for the pair. One follower wrote, "Congratulations @zuck. Welcome to the world, baby Aurelia," while another described her as a "beautiful baby."

A third stated, "Congratulations, baby Aurelia," before joking, welcoming her "to the world of Metaverse ?," while a fourth mentioned, "the best part of your life starts now."

In September 2022, The Blast shared that Zuckerberg and the former pediatrician made an exciting announcement about their upcoming baby in a heartwarming post. The 38-year-old stood close to his wife in the image with his hand on her baby bump while they beamed joyfully.

To make the announcement even sweeter, he included the caption, "Lots of love. Happy to share that Max and August are getting a new baby sister next year!" The parents have a way with words for their children and are incredibly excited to expand their family.

This little love note brings to mind the letter they penned to their second baby girl August when she was born in 2017. In the heartwarming letter shared by ET, the couple expressed their immense love for their new addition. The New Yorker opened the letter by mentioning their excitement to witness the growth of their second child.

Instead of following the same pattern as their letter to their first daughter, Maxima, where they wrote about the world they hoped she would grow up in, the couple chose to focus on childhood in their message for their August.

They emphasized that the time between infancy and adulthood was a critical phase of life and hoped shade would use this time to bond with her older sister and discover the world around her.

Additionally, they wrote, "And then I hope you take a lot of naps. I hope you're a great sleeper. And I hope even in your dreams you can feel how much we love you." In conclusion, the pair wrote, "August, we love you so much, and we're so excited to go on this adventure with you. We wish you a life of joy, love, and the same hope you give us."

Everyone enjoys a great love story, and most even dream of living in such a world, much less make it a reality. While only some get to experience this, this lucky duo turned a meeting that is usually only seen in movies into a reality.

PEOPLE recently decided to take a trip down memory lane on how the couple started their relationship and the milestones they celebrated. It all started in 2003 when Zuckerberg and Chan crossed paths as Harvard undergraduates at a frat party.

Deciding to strike up a conversation while waiting in line for the restroom was probably a work of fate as they quickly discovered a deep connection and began dating shortly after.

From there on out, despite all the highs and lows of relationships, the pair only grew stronger. By 2010, they took a serious step and moved in together, with Chan leaving Boston and moving to Palo Alto, California, to be with her beau.

May 2012 brought many happy moments, including Facebook going public, and the philanthropist graduating from medical school. They also surprised their friends and family by marrying in their Palo Alto home.
