Like many others, the possibility of a TikTok ban in the U.S. is really stressing out reality star Spencer Pratt.
"The Hills" star has a popular, active page on the app and he's speaking out on the current trial that's threatening to take the platform away from the millions of users that rely on it for news and entertainment daily.
Spencer Pratt Wants The U.S. Government To Leave His Freedom Of App Usage Alone!
Pratt took to TikTok to voice his concerns and thoughts on the current trial that will determine if TikTok stays or goes.
"Endless, mindless? I learned more from scrolling than I've ever learned from 10 years of college, lots of other learning places," he said in response to listening to the current trial regarding the banning of the app. "This is getting ridiculous. If you get rid of TikTok, then all apps need to go with it because all apps do the same thing. It's unbelievable."
He continued to express his thoughts on the ridiculousness of the trial. "This is starting to really, really annoy me," he said. "Leave my scrolling alone!"
Pratt said it should be no one's concern what he does on his own phone and then said maybe it's time to take voting more seriously.
"This hearing is infuriating," he continued. "They're gonna make me start really taking voting serious. I'm gonna vote all you out of office for messing with my TikTok."
Pratt's followers agreed with his thoughts and took to the comment section to share them.
"Amen. I've learned more from TikTok than anywhere else. It's a wealth of knowledge," one person wrote. "They don't like how much information we get in real time from TikTok," said another.
One follower asked, "What's the difference between Instagram reels, Facebook reels and TikTok?" and another follower replied, "One is not owned by Mark. Z." Another person also commented that Facebook and Instagram can control what a person posts and can ban you if they don't like it.
A Follow Up Video Reveals Some Of The Challenges TikTok Lovers Will Face If The App Is Banned
In a follow-up video, Pratt talks about what life after TikTok can look like for the millions of people that love the app and visit it daily.
"I just tried to put on the television to watch, like a show, or a movie, to get used to my new life with no TikTok, and I turned it off. There's nothing on that TV, there's no movie, as entertaining as my For You Page and the content that is blessed in front of me every day," he said. "I am just in absolute shock that it's come to this. I truly, like, I'm just in shock."
He continued his somber dialogue talking about all the great TikTok accounts he follows and how this realization is negatively affecting him.
"I'm kind of freaking out, for real," he said. "So, it's starting to sink in, idea of no more TikTok and I'm not okay with it. Not okay."
Pratt's followers agreed wholeheartedly. Pratt is far from the only person on the app to speak out on the possibility of the ban and how ridiculous the trial has been going.
"All of us will go through withdrawal, it's not gonna be pretty. I don't have the attention span for TV anymore," one person said. "We all feel the same, Spencer. It's so lame, all the other platforms do the same and aren't being picked on," explained another.
One follower addressed the fact that TikTok exposes many things that maybe the government didn't want exposed or discussed. "TikTok was exposing too many cover ups, it was only a matter of time before they took it away from us to keep us in the dark."
