After years of being in a relationship, Brie Larson is back on the market.

The famed Marvel Cinematic Universe star seemingly confirmed the rumor that she and her longtime boyfriend, Elijah Allan-Blitz, had gone their separate ways. The former couple was first spotted together roughly six months after Larson broke off her engagement with musician Alex Greenwald.

The Emmy Award-winning director and the "Captain Marvel" actress subsequently attended the 92nd Annual Academy Awards, where they could not keep their hands off each other, in February 2020.

Brie Larson Comes Clean About Her Newly Single Status

Just over three years after Larson and Allan-Blitz went public with their romance, they have become single again. The gender equality activist shared the shocking news during a recent interview that saw her explaining her future plans.

"I don't have a next job. I don't have a home. I don't have a partner. I don't have a plan. I'm just completely open," the "13 Going on 30" star told Harper's Bazaar for its April issue.

Although the Oscars winner did not go into the "gory" details behind her breakup with the "Come With Me Child" singer, she did reflect on how her worldview changed when she entered her thirties a few years ago.

The Screen Actors Guild Award winner disclosed that she "had all the same normal fears as everybody else" about being a single woman at 30," occasionally asking herself, "What do I want? How does [sic] a family and a future fit in with my weird life?"

Rumors about Larson and Allan-Blitz having a romantic bond began circulating after they were caught kissing on camera in July 2019 — almost six months after the 33-year-old parted with Greenwald. Even though neither party publicly addressed their connection at the time, they later walked the red carpet together, as mentioned above.

Within the same year, Larson and the "Miami Dead County" star's joint work in the series "The Messy Truth VR Experience" earned a Primetime Emmy nod in the 'outstanding original interactive program category.'

The couple's most recent public appearance occurred  when they attended the D23 expo last September to promote the short film "Remembering." The flick — another collaborative effort between them — was birthed when the two felt they needed to be creative. Explaining the process in an interview, the "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" actress stated:

"It was the pandemic, and we were needing to be creative. We had been watching movies from our childhood and digging into all of these things. One day, Elijah went into the office, and I feel like it was within 20 minutes, but maybe it was an hour; he had this whole concept."

Soon after Larson and Greenwald's relationship ended, a source reached out to PEOPLE with some of the tea, claiming, "They have taken a step back from their engagement for the time being, but they remain close."

Even though they kept the highlights of their relationship private, fans were privy to the odd content of the pair on social media. For instance, the former couple shared that Greenwald serenaded his former wife-to-be ahead of her 29th birthday shindig in 2018.

A friend joined the "Bad News Bears" actor for the rendition, which Larson shared a clip of on her Instagram Story. Once the musical duo was done with their performance, the "Running Wild with Bear Grylls" guest star uttered with a laugh:

"That was the most beautiful rendition of 'Happy Birthday' I've ever heard."

The partners' relationship was also filled with event attendance, including the 2016 Oscars, where the "Short Term 12" actress received the Best Actress award for her portrayal of Joy "Ma" Newsome in "Room." She also gave her then-beau a shout-out while accepting the award, noting:

"Jacob Tremblay, my partner, through this in every way possible. My real partner, Alex Greenwald, I love you."

The "Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings" star even gushed about her man being supportive of her aspirations during an interview, lauding him as her "person" and "best friend." Larson said yes to Greenwald's proposal in May 2016 following several years of them being together.
