Julianne Hough will return to the "Dancing With the Stars" ballroom and replace Tyra Banks as co-host of the reality competition show, while Alfonso Ribeiro will return as co-host.

It has also been confirmed that Hough's brother, Derek Hough, will return to the judges' table alongside Carrie Ann Inaba and Bruno Tonioli.

Now, the "Dancing With the Stars" alum is speaking out on the news, saying she cannot wait to get back into the ballroom.

In a new post shared to Instagram, Julianne Hough expressed how it's been "an incredible journey [...] to literally grow up with all of you in the ballroom and at home!" The post went on to list all of the times Hough appeared in the "Dancing With the Stars" ballroom:

She concluded by saying, "September can’t come soon enough."

The Reel includes photos and video clips from Hough's time in the ballroom, including when she took home the Mirror Ball trophy — once in season four with her partner Apolo Anton Ohno and in season five alongside Hélio Castroneves.

Other photos included Hough alongside judges Bruno Tonioli and former head judge Len Goodman, who announced his retirement at the end of last season.

“It is such an honor to be rejoining ‘Dancing with the Stars’ as co-host," Hough told Variety when the news first broke. "The show holds such a special place in my heart from the many years and different roles I have had the privilege of being a part of. The incredible team that brings the ballroom to life every night has been my family for the past 17 years. I am so excited to reunite with Alfonso, Carrie Ann, Bruno, Derek, the unbelievably talented pros, and the amazing cast on the dance floor.”

“The energy is magnetic every time you step foot in to the ballroom and I can’t wait to feel it again — and of course to share it all with the absolute best and most loyal fans — for another exciting season," she continued to say.

"Dancing With the Stars" fans were quick to comment on Hough's Reel, expressing "Wow talk about blast from the past" and "I remember it like it was yesterday."

While another fan wrote, "The BEST decision this show has made!! Finally someone who actually knows what they’re talking about!! ??."

Professional dancer Val Chmerkovskiy also commented on the post, saying, "This is really exciting and great for the show. Congrats Jules!!!"

Meanwhile another one of Hough's followers expressed, "Excited for you. You are so talented and devoted.??Thank you!"

Hough has experience aside from being a professional dancer on the show as she was a judge from 2014-2017. She also returned as a guest judge on the show in 2021. She also has experience hosting television shows as for the past few years, her and her brother Derek Hough have hosted the “The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration” special.

“Dancing with the Stars” will return to Disney+ in the fall.
