Cheryl Burke Relocates To Her Parents' House Amid Heavy Storms In California

Tensions have been high since the storm hit the Bay Area, resulting in over 120,000 people losing power in the Bay Area and major roads and freeways getting closed down. One person whose life was affected by the latest round of strong winds and rain in California is Burke, who shared a real-time update with her fans on social media.

In her first post, the former "Dancing with the Stars" contestant set her camera to the expansive view of the wind blowing the grass in her yard as she revealed that she "officially lost power" in her "windy" Santa Cruz house. She panned her camera to her dog, Isa, whom she claimed did not like the weather, before adding:

"There's literally lawn chairs being chucked around. Thank God I turned our outside furniture upside down. Hopefully, that doesn't go flying."

The 2005 San Francisco Latin Champion then expressed gratitude for puzzles, showing viewers the box on her table. "It's so windy. I mean, it's probably nothing compared to some places with tornadoes, but it's pretty windy," Burke added as the clip wrapped up with Isa on the lookout for something to "bark at."

In a subsequent video, the doting dog mom appeared to be sitting inside her car in a puffy black outfit. She skipped out on styling her hair to perfection, opting instead for a nude-colored hair band and a makeup-free face.

The 38-year-old disclosed she was "charging the car" even though "the electricity's still out." Luckily, "The Suite Life of Zack & Cody" guest star's parents "only live an hour and a half away," giving their superstar daughter a way out of her misery. After explaining that she would have to pack her bags in the dark and get her "shivering dog who's freezing her butt off," Burke added:

"I thought the power's going to come back a lot sooner, and we're going to head over to see my parents and stay with them for the next day or two."

She further shared that she was taking all of her equipment so she "can shoot content" at her parents' place. The model closed the video by asking her fans to wish her luck and a "see you on the other side."

The 2008 Asian Excellence Awards Winner Teaches Her Followers The Dance That Helps Her Mental Health

Amid her exit from "DWTS," Burke shared her tips for improving her mental health in a tutorial dance video that she posted on Instagram. As reported by The Blast, the "I Can Do That" performer energetically moved her body from one side of the room to the other, wearing dark plum bottoms and a gray hoodie.

"So another one of my resources, obviously when it comes to my mental health, is dancing," the 2006 PrimeTime Emmy winner began in the clip before slowly giving instructions on — and moving accordingly to — some steps.

She eventually kicked off the dance routine properly as a Sharika mix played in the background. In the caption, she penned, "Another one of my resources that has honestly saved my life is… #DANCE, so I created dance tutorials for all of YOU!"

Burke instructed her 730k followers to let her know if they wanted more and besieged that they share the tutorial with their loved ones.
