The Utah State cheerleader caught on camera tearing up as her school was eliminated from the 2023 NCAA Men's Tournament is joking about the situation. She recently took to social media to make fun of the ordeal that made her sad moment viral.

Following Utah's 76-65 loss to Missouri during March Madness, Whimpey, a cheerleader who's also reportedly dating basketball player Sean Bairstow, had a moment of being in her feels. TNT caught that moment on camera, and the rest is history. Her crying face has been seen everywhere online. Does that bother her? Many would say no after seeing her recent TikTok video making light of the moment.

"And now I’m a meme," she captioned the video showing how many places her teary-eyed face has been online since last Thursday's game. The video has received over 3.5 million views in just a few days.

Appropriately set to the AJR hit, "World's Smallest Violin," Whimpey shows clips of some of the places her crying face has been seen in the past few days.

Many of her followers took to the comment section to tell her she has a pretty crying face and that she's still gorgeous, while others supported her feelings. Not only was her team eliminated, but this was also Whimpey's last game at Utah State as a cheerleader.

"They don’t get that it was your last game too. I’m sure it was emotional since it’s something you’ve probably dedicated ur whole life to," one follower pointed out. "You know many ppl go thru life never having a passion that intense - I’m glad you found something that you loved that much," wrote another.

One follower could relate and shared, "Girl all of us seniors at UCLA were also crying on the court at our home game.. It HAPPENS." Another follower, who also could relate to the feelings associated with a milestone last event added, "I totally feel this I balled my eyes out at my last allstar cheer comp?."

Online Fame Complicated Midterms For Ashlyn Whimpey

It wasn't enough that Whimpey's team was eliminated from March Madness. She became a meme over feeling her feelings about it but added all the online attention, which became overwhelming.

Captioned, "A quick PSA," the video explains that she's having trouble focusing on her midterms "due to TNT thinking the crying cheerleader was better footage than the basketball game."

Many of her social media followers supported her in the comments. "I was not happy that the camera kept showing you. I was like just let the girl be sad for her team losing. ???? Stay strong! ???❤️," one person wrote.

Another added, "You’re amazing and you’re gonna be a star!! ?"

Whimpey also recently shared a tribute video to her cheering days on Instagramddddd, expressing that she is "forever proud to be an aggie cheerleader!" While the end of her college cheering days has arrived, many in the comments told her to continue cheering.
