Kelsea Ballerini, 29, is known for her hit songs “Miss Me More,” “Hole in the Bottle,” and “Peter Pan.” The country music singer is currently on tour promoting her new album “Subject to Change,” after having recently divorced her husband Morgan Evans of five years.
Now, she is thanking her fans for their never-ending support through this difficult time in her life.
Kelsea Ballerini Opens Up About Her Most Recent Tour
The "Peter Pan" singer took to Instagram as her recent tour is coming to an end.
"I’ve been touring in some capacity for the last nine years. From radio tour to being the opening act on more tours than I can count to a handful of headlines of my own. This most recent run of shows has been hands down my favorite I’ve ever played," she began writing.
Ballerini then went on to thank her fans for "showing up" and for their support during this difficult time in her life. "The way y’all showed up and brought a continual wave of celebratory and chaotic energy but also a safety to get into big feelings every night was truly magical," she wrote. "From 'Love Me Like You Mean It' to 'Penthouse', the mutual screamings we’re VERY LOUD... like piercing,, like I had to take my monitor out every night and have a freak out."
The "Miss Me More" singer recently went through a very public divorce from fellow country music singer, Morgan Evans, but her fans have stood by her side, supporting her every step of the way.
"Thank you for this new little breath of life in these rooms, for letting me be in a silly goofy mood between songs, for appreciating my band and crew, for waiting in line for hours beforehand, for the handmade signs and tshirts, and the progressively more unhinged 'HYPOTHETICALLY IF YOU EVER KILL YOUR HUSBAND' moment," the singer expressed.
What's Next For Ballerini?
Ballerini is getting ready to once again hit the road as she goes on tour with country music singer Kenny Chesney.
"I can’t wait to hit the road in a few days with my hometown hero @kennychesney and then go right back to the last round of these (damn near already sold out) heartfirst shows later this summer," she continued to write in her Instagram post before concluding with, "big big big love. 🤍"
Kelsea Ballerini Talks Divorce From Morgan Evans
Kelsea Ballerini first announced her split from her then-husband Morgan Evans after being together for five years.
"This deeply difficult decision is the result of a journey of love, growth and effort that ultimately has come to an end,” Ballerini said in a statement last year. “It’s hard to find the words here … but I feel extremely grateful for years of marriage to Morgan and hopeful for the next seasons.”
When speaking to PEOPLE about her recent divorce, Kelsea Ballerini said the decision was “not chaotic” nor “volatile,” ultimately saying “It just didn’t work.” She said:
“That sometimes is a difficult narrative to get your head around when you’re just like, ‘Oh my gosh, this is a good person and I’m a good person and this just isn’t good anymore’. It’s easy to shame yourself and it’s easy to want to hide, and I just want to be proud of myself in 10 years on this season of my life. This is not just a heavy time in my life, this is also a celebratory time in my life. I don’t want to shade that because that’s important to feel.”
Ballerini has been vulnerable, showing her emotions at every show she’s played. In fact, during one recent concert, the “Legends” singer broke down during her newly released powerful song, “What I Have.” Noticing that Ballerini couldn’t sing, the fans took over and loudly sang the lyrics for her as she continued to play guitar. At one point, the country music singer turned around and faced away from the crowd, raising her arm to her eyes and wiping away tears.
