A second fan declared, "So proud of you," while a third penned, "Yesss, queen." Another follower was overjoyed about the feat and urged the star to keep going ahead of the Muslim festival, Ramadan. A fifth fan declared, "I love the new wave of not needing alcohol," while another wrote, "YESSS SOBER SISTERS so proud of u for doing that – no more poisoning our bodies."

The remarkable milestone comes after Hadid revealed why she was done with drinking in a 2022 interview amid the Dry January era when people gave up alcohol.

During an interview with InStyle, the "Model of the Year" awardee revealed that she quit drinking about six months before and revealed that it was possible thanks to her beverage brand Kin Euphorics.

After quitting, she began sticking to Kin Spritz instead of her typical morning coffee to get a similar energy boost without feeling anxious. Hadid also used her brand's Lightwave, "a calming stress-relieving alternative to an evening glass of wine," to help with her sobriety journey.

Explaining why she gave up alcohol, Hadid said, "I have done my fair share of drinking. I loved alcohol, and it got to the point where even I started to, you know, cancel nights out that I felt like I wouldn't be able to control myself."

However, her decision to completely stop came after her doctor, one of her brand's medical advisors, showed her the effects of drinking on her brain via a brain scan, making it "a lot harder to pick up the glass."

Using Lightwave, the IMG-signed model could manage her "crippling anxiety" and leave the house without having to drink, and whenever she wanted to loosen up, "speak to people and socialize." She further clarified that both drinks have helped relieve her stress-related insomnia not by putting her to sleep for 15 hours straight but by calming her brain, nervous system, and late-night thoughts.

Hadid said she drinks the beverages before sleeping without having to take sleeping pills which was previously the only way she was able not to be exhausted when she constantly traveled.

While Hadid participated in her first Dry January this year, she admitted that she never saw herself returning to alcohol. In her words, "I don't feel the need because I know how it will affect me at 3 in the morning when I wake up with horrible anxiety thinking about that one thing I said five years ago when I graduated high school."

She continued, "There's just this never-ending effect of, essentially, you know, pain and stress over those few drinks that didn't really do much, you know?"

Hadid's sobriety progress update comes after she made headlines due to Selena Gomez's public admiration of her. It happened that Gomez once shared a TikTok of herself lip-syncing to the model's voice, saying: "So…my name…my name is Bella Hadid."

Adding a text overlay, the musician wrote, "I wish I was as pretty as Bella Hadid." She did not stop there but dropped another clip, trying to imitate Hadid.

"My name is Selena Gomez," she said before expressing frustration: "See, I doesn't [sic] even sound sexy."

The "Calm Down" star went on with another picture of Hadid, adding #girlcrush in her caption, indicating how much affection she felt for the 5ft 9 inches model despite their tumultuous history involving music star The Weeknd.
