Pete Buttigieg and his husband first connected on the dating app, Hinge, and after sharing their love story the company is stoked about possibly going down in history for the first hookup that made its way to the White House.

"At Hinge, we're proud of the all great first dates and relationships we've helped set up," a spokesperson tells The Blast.

They added, "We're particularly excited to know we played a part in the love story of a potential first couple!" Chasten, who works as an educator, and Mayor Pete connected on Hinge back in the summer of 2015.

They moved in together in 2016 before getting engaged a year later and eventually tying the knot in 2018 during a ceremony in South Bend, Indiana.

Hinge would not comment on whether they want to get involved with Mayor Pete's campaign, but they better get working on some Presidential dating puns.
