Keanu Reeves and director Chad Stahelski have released a joint tribute to their late "John Wick" co-star Lance Reddick. Reddick allegedly passed away from "natural causes" and was found dead in his home.

The actor had been busy recently with press tours for "John Wick 4," in which he played the role of Charon. Other film stars have paid tribute to him, including Wendell Pierce, who called him the "epitome of class."

During a 2021 interview, Reddick spoke about his working relationship with Reeves and heavily praised him. The actor's last appearance was meant to be at the "John Wick 4" premiere, but he was unfortunately absent from the event.

Keanu Reeves and "John Wick" director Chad Stahelski recently released a joint tribute statement to Lance Reddick to Variety. Reddick was a leading cast member in the movie whose death was confirmed on Friday. The 60-year-old had played the role of Charon in all four "John Wick" films.

The joint statement read, "We are deeply saddened and heartbroken at the loss of our beloved friend and colleague Lance Reddick. He was the consummate professional and a joy to work with. Our love and prayers are with his wife Stephanie, his children, family, and friends."

Reeves and Stahelski also revealed that they're dedicating the upcoming "John Wick: Chapter 4" to Reddick's "loving memory." The highly anticipated film will be released in theaters worldwide on March 23rd. They then concluded the tribute statement with, "We will miss him dearly."

Reddick's representative confirmed his death in a statement to People Magazine, saying he died "suddenly this morning from natural causes." They further wrote, "Lance was best known for his roles in 'The Wire,' 'Bosch,' Netflix's 'Resident Evil' and the 'John Wick' films."

With his death, Reddick left behind his wife, Stephanie Reddick, and their two kids, Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick. The statement by his reps concluded with, "Lance will be greatly missed. Please respect his family's privacy at this time."

According to TMZ, local police said Reddick's dead body had been discovered in the morning at his California home. The actor had been busy recently with the press tours for "John Wick 4" and was scheduled to appear on the "Kelly Clarkson Show" next week.

Since the confirmation of Reddick's passing, several other actors have shared tributes to the actor on social media. One such tribute came from his "John Wick" co-star, Ian McShane, who said he was in "total shock and disbelief" over the news.

He wrote, "Lance was a wonderful human being and a wonderful colleague. My deepest condolences, peace and love to his wife, Stephanie, and all his family." Wendell Pierce, Reddick's co-star from "The Wire," also tweeted a tribute, writing that the late actor was a "man of great strength and grace."

Pierce added, "The epitome of class. An [sic] sudden unexpected sharp painful grief for our artistic family. An unimaginable suffering for his personal family and loved ones. Godspeed my friend. You made your mark here. RIP."

Ben Stiller also tweeted in honor of Reddick, writing that the actor was a "beautiful and compelling actor." Stiller's late mother, Anne Meara, had once worked with Reddick on the play, "Afterplay." In Stiller's tribute, he further wrote that Reddick was also a "beautiful person … He was exquisite in that and all he did. Nothing is lost."

In a December 2021 interview with Vulture Magazine, Reddick spoke about his working relationship with Reeves and his experience in the "John Wick" films. He described the "Constantine" star as "someone who's very generous as an actor and then all about the work."

Reddick also said, "On one hand I feel like I don't know him very well but on the other, I just adore that guy. He's such a wonderful human being." The "Resident Evil" actor further praised Reeves, saying, "he seems simple, but spiritually he's very advanced."

Reddick's last appearance before his untimely death was meant to be at the New York premiere of "John Wick 4." However, for reasons he kept private, the actor chose to stay at home with his dogs, later posting a selfie video of him and his pets on social media.
