Britney Spears arrived at the courthouse in downtown Los Angeles — holding hands with her mother — as the family gathers for a hearing in her conservatorship.
Spears was wearing an orange skirt, black top and heels and looking calm and composed as she walked into the courthouse.
The hearing concluded after a couple of hours, check out our updates below on everything that went down.

1:48 PM PT -- Britney's attorney, Sam Ingham, said on the record that Britney was the one who wanted the hearing to address the court regarding "issues with medical care," minor children and trade secrets. Because of the sensitive issues, the reporters in the courtroom have been cleared out.

4:31 PM PT -- A status hearing was set for September 18, which Britney Spears does not have to attend. Between now and then, a third-party (who must be approved by attorneys for Britney and Jamie Spears) will conduct an evaluation of Britney and her mental state.
Meanwhile, outside the courthouse, a slew of Britney Spears fans are gathered. The fans — who have used the hashtag #FreeBritney on social media – held signs calling for an end to the conservatorship and for Spears to be given control over her life.
Her loyal fans believe Spears is capable of managing her own life and no longer needs her family and a team of lawyers to run her affairs.
Lynne Spears, Britney's mother, is not expected to ask to be a co-conservator but wants access to her daughter's medical records so she can keep tabs on her affairs.

As The Blast first reported, Lynne Spears filed a request this week requesting special notice and asking to be informed of all matters pertaining to Britney and her conservatorship. Lynne is also using her own attorney to file the paperwork.
Sources close to Britney's conservatorship tell The Blast Lynne actually spoke with Jamie before filing her documents, as she has mainly received her information about Britney through Jamie for years, and she wants to take a more proactive approach.
This is a developing story ...
