The "Knives Out" actress finally fulfilled her lifelong dream of winning her first Academy award. She won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her role in the superhero comedy "Everything Everywhere All At Once" on Sunday in Los Angeles.

Curtis looked stunning, dressed in a sparkling cream and silver dress with corset boning along the torso, as she mounted the stage to receive her award and give a touching acceptance speech dedicated to her husband, her kids, the crew of "EEAAO," and her parents.

However, the "Halloween" actress's win came as a shock for lots of fans who were disappointed that she prevailed over frontrunner Bassett, whose work in "Black Panther: Wakanda Forever" netted Marvel its first-ever Oscar nomination in an acting category.
