"Buffy" star David Boreanaz is speaking out in support of his former costar Charisma Carpenter after she blasted Joss Whedon for his alleged toxic behavior on set.
Last week, Charisma posted a lengthy statement about her time working with Joss. The actress felt the need to talk after seeing what is happening to Ray Fisher at the moment.
In her post, she described a hostile work environment that she said caused her trauma. She detailed specific incidents where Joss appeared to retaliate against her after she became pregnant.

Joss has remained silent since the accusations came out. Charisma's costars Sarah Michelle Gellar and Michelle Trachtenberg have both spoke out in support of Charisma.
Sarah wrote, "While I am proud to have my name associated with Buffy Summers, I don't want to be forever associated with the name Joss Whedon. I am move focused on raising my family and surviving a pandemic currently, so I will not be making any further statements at this time. But I stand with all survivors of abuse and am proud of them for speaking out."
I know you’re there for me, David. I appreciate all you’ve done to demonstrate that support privately as well. Especially since Wednesday. -Thank you so much. ♥️

Michelle claimed that Joss's behavior so violated that he wasn't allowed to be left alone in a room with her.
In the days since Charisma came out with her allegations, many fans have wondered why David hadn't said anything about the situation. He clearly heard the talk and decided to come out publicly.
He replied to Charisma's original tweet, " I am here for you to listen and support you. Proud of your strength♥️?." Charisma replied to David, "know you’re there for me, David. I appreciate all you’ve done to demonstrate that support privately as well. Especially since Wednesday. -Thank you so much. ♥️"

In her original post, Charisma laid into Joss for what he allegedly did to her and others on set.
She said, "Joss Whedon abused his power on numerous occasions while working together on the sets of Buffy The Vampire Slayer and Angel. While he found his misconduct amusing, it only served to intensify my performance anxiety, disempower me, and alienate me from my peers. The disturbing incidents triggered a chronic physical condition from which I still suffer. It is with a beating, heavy heart that I say I coped in isolation, and, at times, destructively."
Charisma said she decided to come forward to support Ray Fisher in his battle against Warner Bros and Joss.
