Every family has their dirty laundry, and Julia Fox is dealing with the aftermath of her relatives' dark side!
The entertainer is infamously known as Kanye "Ye" West's rebound flame following his controversial split from Kim Kardashian. After her relationship with the Hip-hop icon, the actress worked hard to be recognized for her skills rather than the rapper's ex-girlfriend.
Although the Italian model successfully gained recognition for her daring fashion looks and wild online presence, the "Uncut Gems" star's family was a different case. Fox's father and brother were recently arrested for shocking charges.
Julia Fox's Dad And Younger Brother Are In Police Custody After NYPD Raid
Thomas Fox and his son Christopher Fox were brought into police custody after NYPD officers barged into their Upper East Side apartment. Armed with a search warrant, authorities made their move at around 6 a.m., where they uncovered shocking truths in the New York City residence.
Fox's loved ones were arrested for possessing ghost guns and narcotics manufacturing. This house search was reportedly part of a larger investigation into ghost guns and drugs, according to an NYPD representative, reports PEOPLE.
For those unaware, ghost guns are untraceable firearms typically sold by online vendors in pieces so buyers can assemble the parts at home. Cops recovered several fragments of ghost guns at the Foxs' apartment alongside narcotic manufacturing equipment.
Authorities recovered tools for pressing narcotic pills, pressure cookers, and chemicals used to produce the illegal drug. NYPD officers also found materials for building explosives during the March 8 raid.
Surprisingly, Thomas was released without charges following his arrest. However, his son remained in police custody as of March 9, where the 30-year-old faced various charges. The actress's younger brother's crimes included the unlawful possession of a controlled substance, the manufacture of a machine gun, and a rapid-fire mod device.
Fortunately, the dangerous materials found in the apartment did not tie Thomas and Christopher to any terrorist groups. Regarding the matter, an NYPD spokesperson said: "At this time, the matter is believed to be contained, with no apparent nexus to terrorism."
"The NYPD will continue to fight relentlessly against illegal guns — against both the steady proliferation of traditionally-manufactured firearms and the increasingly prevalent numbers of illegal, untraceable but fully functioning weapons known as ghost guns," the representative declared.
As for the "PTSD" author, PageSix reported that Fox was "heartbroken" by the news of her relatives' drug and weapon charges. Sources claimed the 33-year-old was shocked by the apartment raid, noting that the entertainer was out of town when it happened.
According to these insiders, the model knew nothing about her family's alleged crimes. Their claims tallied with the Playboy model's previous confessions about her relatives. In an interview, the Italian beauty admitted that she rarely saw her single father and brother.
As for Christopher, the "Fantasy Girls" director described him as an eccentric personality. "He’s like a mad scientist recluse," the media personality said. "He builds 3D printers for fun."
Other relatives echoed similar sentiments to sources, describing the younger FOX as a "mad scientist" type who enjoyed carrying out experiments. However, these loved ones noted that the 30-year-old seemed like a nice guy who "wouldn’t hurt a fly."
The Gotham Award Nominee Once Carried A Loaded Gun With Murder On Her Mind
The "PVT Chat" star has also had a fair share of toeing the line of the law, but not as bad as her brother and father.
Last month, The Blast reported that Fox took SZA's "Kill Bill" song to the next level. No, the entertainer did not think about her killing her ex-boyfriend, but she did consider murdering a drug dealer.
The "Puppet" actress revealed in a heart-to-heart interview that she tried getting revenge for her best friend, who tragically died from a drug overdose. The 33-year-old promised to share the full story of her soulmate's passing in her upcoming memoir.
However, while the Italian model worked on her poignant masterpiece, she spilled the tea about her murderous intentions. According to the TV personality, she would sit in her car for hours watching the drug dealer, whom she blamed for her best friend's demise.
Fox confessed that she watched the unsuspecting man, waiting for the right time to deliver what she believed would be poetic justice. The mother-of-one planned to kill the drug dealer with her late friend's gun. However, she never got to pull the trigger.
The Franziska Fox co-founder later discovered that her best friend did not die from a drug overdose. The unidentified female suffered from various health issues that eventually led to her death. "I’m glad I didn’t kill him," Fox confessed.
