Brittany Snow Admits Year Has Been 'Hard & Beautiful' In First Birthday Since Divorce

Actress Brittany Snow is getting candid about how this year has been for her as she marks her first trip around the sun since she and Tyler Stanaland ended their marriage. 

The “Guiding Lights” actress and the “Selling The OC” star married in 2020 with a low-key wedding in Malibu. Two years after they tied the knot, the couple announced they were ending the union amicably.

The “Pitch Perfect” alum celebrated her first birthday post-divorce, and she wrote a message to herself on Instagram. In the tribute, she praised her strength while admitting that the past year of her life wasn’t a smooth one. Alongside the tribute, the Teens Choice Award recipient uploaded a snapshot of herself. 

“This year has been hard and beautiful, the “X” actress wrote. ”As I get older, I am stronger than I ever knew (except my back seems weaker and hurts way more.) I am so grateful for all these days. Thank you for the birthday love my friends.”

The post’s comments section was filled with fans and other celebrities' well wishes for the actress. Fellow “Pitch Perfect” star Rebel Wilson commented, “ Happy Birthday Gorgeous❤️.” Vanessa Hudgens chimed in, “Happy Birthday Babe.” A follower added, “Happy Birthday beautiful human!!! You shine so bright! The best part is just beginning :) we love you!”

Snow’s 37th birthday comes almost two months after she filed for a divorce from her ex-husband. In the court documents obtained by The Blast, Snow filed a divorce petition, citing irreconcilable differences as the reason for the split. The actress claimed her date of separation is yet to be determined. 

The estranged couple has a prenuptial agreement to make for potential straightforward divorce proceedings. Snow also stated that she and Stanaland pay their attorney fees. Before Snow officially filed for a divorce, she announced last year September that she and Stanaland were pulling the plug on their marriage. 

In the “American Dreams” actress’ announcement post, she wrote, “After time and consideration, Tyler and I have made the difficult decision to separate. This decision was made with love and mutual respect for one another.”

She continued, “We have realized we need to take some time and make sure we are each living our most fulfilling and authentic lives. We started this journey as best friends and our relationship will continue to be a priority not only for us but for our dog Charlie. We sincerely appreciate your support and ask for privacy as we navigate this new chapter.”

A source previously revealed that what may have caused the couple’s separation was that Snow disapproved of Stanaland’s appearance on “Selling the OC.” The insider said,

“Everyone who knows Tyler and Brittany knows she wasn’t comfortable with the show. That’s why he did his best to keep his marriage and the show separate, but it only backfired.”

The Netflix star seemed to have moved on from his marriage with Snow as he was spotted hanging out with his female colleagues just after his marriage ended. 

As reported, onlookers disclosed that the real estate agent was seen in a “flirty” pose with co-stars Alex Hall and Polly Brindle while having drinks at a bar. One eyewitness said the group appeared more involved in flirting with each other than drinking. 

The eyewitness stressed that Hall, in particular, kept “jumping all over” Stanaland “like trying to pick him up.” They added that the group increased their flirtation while they were outside the establishment.

According to the witness, “Polly was sitting next to Tyler, and she was also all over him. They were very touchy-feely and talking close to each other, arms around each other’s chairs. So outside, Tyler and Alex were all over each other, and inside, it was Tyler and Polly flirting.”

Stanaland seemed comfortable and enjoyed the two ladies' attentions despite announcing his separation from his wife recently. The eyewitness said Stanaland “didn’t seem sad at all. He honestly looked like he was very happy and enjoying the single life.”
