Check Out The Amazing Card!
"This story of how my UNIV of MIAMI football card’s value continues to rise has become so surreal to me," The Rock captioned the football card.
He continued, "Playing in the @NFL was my dream and playing in the Super Bowl was my even bigger dream. Of course, neither dream came true for me, but years later... On SUPER BOWL Sunday my rookie card gets sold for 45K!! Congrats to the winning bidder! ??."
"I never made it as a player to the big dance, so this humbling irony is not lost on me one bit ??," Rock concluded.
As you know, Rock is now one of the highest-paid actors on film and owns a giant Tequila company. Not to mention he was a WWE champion for years leading up to his movie career. So ya, he is doing fine!
So, What Happened To His Football Career?! See Below!
Starting in 1991, Dwayne Johnson played football for Miami as a freshman and established himself as a good player. But, that is when a young football phenom named Warren Sapp stepped onto the same field. If you are not a football fan, Sapp is one of the most famous players of all time!
The Rock suffered a few injuries, and as they say, the rest is history.
The duo recently reflected on their time at Miami, with The Rock saying, "Yeah, the thing was, I had the greatest D-lineman in the history of the game playing in front of me. No. 99, No. 1 in your heart. I gotta tell you this: People are always asking me if I regret not making it to the NFL because of my injuries at Miami. Let me be clear: It had nothing to do with my injuries. I didn’t make it to the NFL because of one man. That’s Warren Sapp. Hands down."
Adding, "There’s a reason why I’m here right now, and it’s because of the grace of God because you’re the best at what you do. And because you came in and said, “You go sit on the sidelines real quick, and I’m going out there to kick some ass.”
