The wrestling world's favorite twins are aiming for a comeback.

Nikki and Brie Bella are currently enjoying motherhood to their baby boys, but in recent months they've been asked about the possibility of a WWE return.

The retired wrestlers have made it know they're open to coming back.

Nikki is getting the itch to step back into the ring and has convinced Brie to join her. 

The news is exciting for the Bella Army, who are anxious to see their favorite twins back in the squared circle.

However, they may have to wait a while before they see The Bellas on WWE television.

Women's Wrestling Pioneers

Although the twins often received criticism throughout their career, they're considered pioneers in shaping WWE's women's division.

Brie and Nikki not only won championships and broke records during their WWE career, but they also helped bring in new legions of fans.

Thanks to their reality shows "Total Divas" and "Total Bellas" fans began tuning into WWE to see more of the Bellas and the rest of the female wrestlers.

During Brie and Nikki's time in WWE, the company came under criticism for their lack of focus on the women's division. According to Nikki, she became a leader of the locker room and often championed for more equal opportunities for the women.

Brie and Nikki became recognizable stars both in and out of the ring. With them the faces of the women's division, they helped get the ball rolling on WWE giving more focus to the female roster.

Life After Retirement

Since their retirement in 2019, Brie and Nikki have remained busy.

The twins have their own clothing line, hair care line, and wine vineyard to run.

They've also continued filming for their show "Total Bellas," which just ended its sixth season.

Aside from their careers, the sisters are also enjoying parenthood. 

Brie and her husband Daniel Bryan are parents to a three-year-old daughter Birdie, and a son Buddy, who was born in on August 1, 2020.

As for Nikki, she began engaged to her "Dancing With the Stars" partner Artem Chigvintsev. The two welcomed their son Matteo on July 31st, one day before Buddy's birth.

Planning For WrestleMania 38

Talk of a potential return began in November 2020.

Nikki and Brie said they were open to a comeback. Now, the sisters have given a timeline of when they may step back inside a wrestling ring.

During a recent appearance on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show," Nikki informed guest host Mario Lopez that they're looking at WrestleMania 38 to make their comeback.

WrestleMania 38 is still a year away with the event taking place in April 2022.

So the Bellas will have plenty of time to get back to training for their in-ring return.

Going After The Tag Titles

As for what they want to do when they make their future comeback, the Bellas already have something in mind.

They want to win the women's tag titles.

Nikki said she and Brie never got a chance to fight for the championship because it was reintroduced after they left. She feels like it's a title she and Brie were meant to have.

The women's tag team championship is currently held by Shayna Baszler and Nia Jax. But whoever is holding the titles around WrestleMania 38 better watch out because the Bella Twins are definitely coming back.
