The model and wife of one Mr. Justin Bieber has been the subject of complicated online discourse for the last few weeks. Bieber, 25, who has been married to her pop star husband since 2018, continues to be associated with Mr. Bieber’s ex-girlfriend, “Only Murders In The Building” actress Selena Gomez, half a decade after they officially called it quits on their on and off again romance.

Mrs. Bieber’s friend (and alleged foe of Gomez’s) Kylie Jenner makes an appearance in the latest bit of discourse about the duo, as does Gomez’s BFF Taylor Swift. 

Jenner was thought to be making fun of the “Rare” singer’s laminated eyebrows she debuted on TikTok last week. The Kylie Cosmetics CEO posted an Instagram story wherein she draws attention to her eyebrows by explaining her look had been accidental. The 25-year-old posted a second slide showcasing a screenshot of a FaceTime conversation with Bieber, leading many fans and internet commentators to speculate the duo was making fun of Gomez.

Swift, 33, becomes part of the story after Gomez later defends her pal in the comments of a TikTok video, showcasing an older clip of Bieber making an unfavorable gesture toward the “Getaway Car” songstress. Gomez also allegedly commented on a negative fan-made TikTok about Bieber. 

The online flames seem not to have been extinguished, nearly a week after Gomez announced she would be taking a social media break. #TeamSelena fans have flooded the comment section of Bieber’s latest Instagram photo, unleashing a flood of unfavorable quips. 

The “Hands To Myself” singer did not keep her thoughts about oft-trending social media discourse to herself.

Speaking to her fans in a TikTok Live session last week, Gomez said, “I’m going to be taking a second from social media because this is a little silly. I’m 30. I’m too old for this. But I love you guys so much and I will see you sooner rather than later.”

In the week since Gomez’s announcement, both Jenner and Bieber have lost a sizable number of Instagram followers; fans were also initially speculating that Jenner felt slighted by the fact Gomez recently surpassed her as the most-followed female celebrity on the platform.

According to one of The Blast’s pieces of coverage on the trio’s alleged feud, Jenner was said to have lost a total of one million followers. She went from 380 to 379 million. 

Over in Bieber’s corner of the internet, the Gomez-related drama managed to creep its way into her birthday tribute to Justin on March 1st.

Commentators mentioned the allegations of Bieber “stalking” Gomez over a number of years. Many forms of social media focused on highlighting reported similarities between the two women, including Bieber and Gomez’s matching “G” tattoos. The subject of Hailey allegedly stalking her now-husband also began circulating.

“Hailey…. The original ‘YOU’ or maybe she can be on season 5?,” one follower commented on Bieber’s birthday tribute to her hubs.

“Is it true she stalked him until she finally got him?” another asked. 

“Girl bye ,” another follower wrote. “I felt sorry at you at first with all of the comments but now you exposed yourself,” another weighed in.

The tough treatment toward Bieber continued on Friday afternoon after she posted several selfies where she dons an orange turtleneck. 

The attention quickly went from Bieber’s look to the unspoken elephant in the comment section. 

“So brave of her to be posting with the comments open,” one follower commented. 

“Stop judging each other,” another implored. 

“She definitely paid for these comments,” another speculated. 

“Wondering why you guys in her comment section if u clearly don’t support her,” an inquisitive follower wondered. 

“So you haters sleep on her page interesting,” another pointed out.

“The way you and Justin posted at the same time,” a supporter wrote, “Y’all probably giggling and cuddling with each other. BYE. We stan the biebers. Idc. Hope you and Justin are well pookie”

“Hi Hailey, don’t care about the hate comments. I love you and Justin. You are [an] amazing couple together, and you’re beautiful”

“Wow, so many commenting without any self-awareness… If you’re against bullying, why are you bullying Hailey?,” another asked. 

“Now I know why she’s still so obsessed with S,” another follower theorized. “He always has and always will love her, so Hailey thought if she turned herself into S he might love her for real… awww… bless her heart but nope. She didn’t want him so he went with second choice babes,” another follower said.
