There Are No 'Rumours' Here: The Musical Aspect Of 'Daisy Jones & The Six' Was A Labor Of Love!

The TV adaptation of "Daisy Jones & The Six" generated excitement from those involved from the moment of its conception!

Executive producer Scott Neustader was smitten from the beginning. He told Vanity Fair in a profile earlier this year, "I flipped for it, and really just sort of fell in love with the whole thing. Transporting to the 1970's Laurel Canyon music scene was like, the greatest gift I could've imagined." (per The Blast)

Reese Witherspoon knew she wanted to adapt the novel with the help of her Hello Sunshine production company. She has frequently expressed her love for the novel on her social media accounts, particularly Hello Sunshine's Instagram account!

The series' stars Riley Keough and Sam Claflin play Daisy and Billy, a duo with quite a lot of professional and personal history, with the two aspects frequently colliding with one another. The duo had to go through a great deal of training in order to accurately translate Daisy and Billy's charged relationship from script to screen, especially with their musical collaboration.

Keough and Claflin spoke to the NME about their experience with becoming seasoned musicians.

Keough laughs as she reflects on her early days of becoming Daisy. "After they hired me, I remember [the producers] saying: 'Okay, Riley has a long way to come, so whoever we hire [as her partner] will have to be a great singer to balance her out," she recalled to the publication.

Claflin echos the mood in the studio. "We just laughed through it," he recalled. "We had a joint singing lesson quite early on, and at that point, I had imposter syndrome. I thought, 'I shouldn't be here, this is terrifying. I'm so nervous,' then Riley walked in and they immediately got us to stare at each other to try and find that romantic connection," he went on.

Keough adds, "It doesn't take much for me to turn really giggly, but then we sang and I was thinking, 'Oh, yay, we're both awful!'

Jenkins Reid Weighs In On 'Aurora'

The woman who brought Daisy and her 'awful' singing partner to life felt everything except for negativity after hearing Daisy Jones and the Six come alive through their music!

"We finally have 'Aurora,' she said via a recent statement. "A stunning, nostalgic, timeless album that captures the drama and pathos, and yearning of the band's zenith and nadir all in one. A snapshot of time, intoxicating and dangerous. That delicious moment you know can't last... Daisy Jones and the Six are real. And they're better than my wildest dreams," Jenkins Reid concluded.

There's one particular music critic whose opinion means a great deal to the author: her daughter's!

Jenkins Reid captured an adorable Instagram video of Lila bopping around and listening to "Aurora" on her mom's phone.

"'Aurora' IS OUT and as evidenced by my kid, it's a hit. @blakemills and @tonyberg1, you've made a hell of an album. (Lilah says 'More Fun To Miss' makes Daisy sound like a cowgirl, in case you need anymore rad feedback)," she wrote in the post's caption!

The official Instagram account for Witherspoon's book club commented, "Dream big, little bird!"

"Daisy Jones & The Six" will undoubtedly make dreams come true when the series premieres on Amazon Prime tomorrow!
