He explained why they played the song "Young Again" every night of the tour, saying, "I always try to look at everything in a very positive way. I don't see any point in looking at it in any other way. I've learned more recently that you need to feel things, and you need to take a second to sit in things and experience them and not to sort of brush over them."

The star expressed his disappointment over what he heard his former partner say in the released trailer for her new podcast episode and her emotional EP titled "Rolling Up the Welcome Mat." Per The Blast, the 29-year-old spoke about their divorce and their marriage.

In a statement, Evans called the "Miss Me More" singer out for allegedly not telling the whole truth and asked fans not to be unkind to her. The short message read, "It's really sad for me to see this person, who I spent so much of my life with, and loved with all my heart, saying things that aren't reality and that leaves out what really happened. She knows I'm not the type of guy to speak on those things publicly."

He wrote, "If this is what she needs to heal, I hope it helps. All I ask is that if you're on my pages, please don't be mean. Don't be mean to Kelsea, don't be mean to each other. Life's too short."
