Brian Austin Green Claps Back At Ex, Vanessa Marcil, For 'Lies' About Son's Upbringing

Actor Brian Austin Green has responded in an intense clap back to his ex Vanessa Marcil's recent statement about raising their son Kassius, 20, alone.

Green did not hold back in his response and quickly refuted her claim. The "BH90210" star expressed his disagreement and criticized Marcil's proclamation, stating that she raised their son alone. He claims he has always been an involved parent in Kassius's life.

The co-parenting allegation is the latest in the series of the public dispute the former couple has engaged in since their divorce in 2003. Marcil previously sued her ex in court over money but had the case dismissed. She also publicly accused Green and his ex-wife Megan Fox of neglecting their son and cutting him off.

Brian Austin Green's ex-wife Vanessa Marcil shared with her fans on her Instagram Story during a Q&A session that she had raised Kassius by herself following their separation in 2003, as they didn't have a co-parenting arrangement. "We didn't & don't co-parent. I raised my son alone," Marcil said, per E! News.

In an Instagram post, the "Anger Management" alum posted a screenshot of Marcil's answer during the Q&A session, expressed frustration, and called her out for spreading falsehood.

He wrote, "So, I can't tell you all how frustrating it is to read continued lies from a 50+-year-old woman on social media like she is still in high school. She has never in her life been someone to walk the walk. Talk is cheap."

Not one to mince words when defending his parenting style, Green shared that he and his ex-wife Megan Fox worked hard to provide Kassius with a well-rounded childhood since his mother was rarely present.

Green also hinted that Marcil's increased posting of Kassius might be her way of compensating for her absence in the past. "I'm assuming that's why she posts so much of him now. When will she just GO AWAY," he wrote, according to E! News.

In the same post, the actor went on to claim he was the one who played a more significant role in raising Kassius. Green also has three other sons with his ex-partner Fox and a 7-month-old baby boy Zane with his girlfriend, "Dancing With The Stars" pro Sharna Burgess. It would seem that he has his hands full of parenting responsibilities.

Now at loggerheads, Green and Marcil, 54, first dated in 1999 after crossing paths on the set of Beverly Hills, 90210. In 2002, the star couple welcomed their son Kassius, but their love story was short-lived as they went their separate ways in 2003.

However, the drama had only just begun as, almost a decade after their split, Marcil sued her ex-husband in January 2012 over purported unpaid loans. The case was later dismissed when a judge ruled that the statute of limitations had expired.

The duo again made headlines in 2018 when Marcil accused Green and his then-wife Fox of cutting Kassius entirely out of their lives. According to her, their  son was "truly heartbroken." Despite the publicized dispute, there was no comment from Green and Fox at the time.

Despite their past legal battles and public disputes, it would seem Green and Marcil reached a consensus in their co-parenting journey in recent years. In July 2019, Marcil took to social media to share her excitement about Kassius visiting his dad in Canada. Two years later, she rooted for Green during his stint on "Dancing With the Stars" 30th season in September 2021.

In the post, she shared a photo of Kassius in a car en route to the "DWTS" live taping with the caption, "Headed to see dad. #TeamGreen."

With their recent exchange over the upbringing of their son, things may have gotten sour recently, and Marcil is still yet to reply to her ex-husband.
