Joe Exotic's Prostate Cancer May Have Spread
According to TMZ, Exotic just sent a new letter revealing that doctors believe his prostate cancer may have spread. He wrote about seeing a large amount of blood in his urine and bleeding during multiple prostate cancer treatments. Exotic recently met with his urologist, who thinks cancer may have spread from his prostate to his bladder.
The specialist wants to do more tests to confirm the spread, which Exotic has agreed to do. However, he shared that he's not seeking further cancer treatments after his prostate treatments, saying, "I want to stay here and just let it take its course."
Despite his health battles, Exotic says he's never going to stop fighting for his freedom from prison and justice. He wrote, "The world has to know just how corrupt our justice system is … If I have to be the one to die innocent here fighting for the truth, maybe people around the world will finally speak up for the truth for once."
Joe Exotic Writes A New Will
According to the TMZ report, Exotic revealed that he'd written a new will in which all his assets go to his fiancé, Seth Posey. The former TV star also said that if Posey dies, everything will go to his son, Cameron. Posey and Exotic met via the latter's online "Bachelor King" competition, which he won in 2021.
Exotic made it clear to TMZ that he doesn't want anyone else in his life getting hold of his assets and property. This includes Jeff Lowe, his ex-husband Dillon Passage, and all of his family members. He made it clear that only Posey has been there for him, so only he deserves to be in the Will.
Exotic said, "He has been there every day for five years. I know everything about Seth, I talk to his mom and I talk to everybody." At the end of the letter, he makes it clear Posey is heavily on his mind, writing, "I could care less about dying, my birthday is coming up soon and all I want is to see Seth."
He Has Also Authorized A DNR
Exotic also revealed to TMZ that he's officially signed a DNR (Do Not Resuscitate) order with the Medical center At Fort Worth. The former "Tiger King" sounded tired and angry that he's still in prison despite fighting heavily for his innocence, saying, "I'm done."
Exotic has also already planned out all his funeral details, which are in the new Will. He shared that he's asked John Reinke, his former co-star, to handle the funeral plans with Posey. Exotic wants them to launch a GoFundMe page for the funeral expenses, cremate his body, and scatter the ashes beside his late husband, Travis Maldonado.
Joe Exotic Still Has About 20 Years To Serve
Exotic still has about 20 years left to serve his prison sentence, which he received after being convicted on murder-for-hire charges. The 59-year-old said the prosecutors are hoping for him to die from cancer in prison, just "so they don't have to admit they were wrong."
Exotic was found guilty of planning a failed murder-for-hire plot against his nemesis, Carole Baskin. Prosecutors revealed in court that in 2017, Exotic paid a man $3000 to execute Baskin after she accused him of being an animal abuser.
In his defense, Exotic claimed he was innocent of the conspiracy charges, and his lawyers argued that the plot wasn't serious. Asides from the murder-for-hire conviction, Exotic was also found guilty of animal abuse offenses, including selling multiple tiger cubs, killing five tigers, and making false records.
