Guess Who Is The Stricter Parent Between Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa

Heather Rae & Tarek El Moussa have talked about their parenting style!

The reality stars had warmed the hearts of their millions of fans when they announced the arrival of their first child — a son — together. Tarek and Heather had taken two extra weeks before unveiling the little boy's face and name, Tristan Jay, on social media. The couple's new arrival joins Tarek's two other children — Brayden and Taylor — whom he shares with his ex-wife, Christina Hall.

Tarek and Heather have been over the moon since they welcomed Tristan to the world on January 31, often sharing updates on their new journey. The happy parents did again when they opened up about life with their newborn, with Heather gushing:

"I am absolutely obsessed with Tristan. New mommyhood is hard but beautiful. I'm enjoying all the firsts and really getting to know him."

Her husband said that their three-week son carried a "big personality" while being an "active little guy." The "Flip or Flop" alum added that Heather "is a rock star [mum]" whom he loved watching bond with their child.

Even though Taylor and Brayden were bonding with Tristan before his arrival, the "The Flipping El Moussas" stars made it a point to remind them that all the kids in the household are loved equally. Additionally, they had to learn how to balance the parenting style in the house. As Tarek told TODAY:

"Heather is stricter than me, for sure. I play games and wrestle with the kids. When she says, 'OK, it's bedtime,' I'm like, 'OK, five more minutes!' But then, I will enforce her rules." 

His 35-year-old wife stated it was easy for people to assume that he would be "more strict," but she was "definitely a little more rigid as far as schedules and keeping everything on track." After stating that it was "kind of" her job, the "Selling Sunset" star acknowledged that they "parent very well together."

Shortly after Tristan's arrival, The Blast noted that his mother was eager to share her breastfeeding experience with her three million followers. The "Love in the Time of Machines" actress had taken to her Instagram page to share two photos of her newborn sleeping.

The first image featured a faraway shot of the tot wearing a blue beanie, matching bottoms, and black boots. As for his top, he was styled in a white top with "new to the El Moussa crew" etched on it.

Heather's next slide showed an up-close view at his adorable face as he placed his hand across his chest and napped. The doting new mom wrote beneath the photos:

"New to the El Moussa crew ???. Mom's life is staring at him nonstop because I can't get enough ??."

The model then expressed the joy of holding her little boy in her arms for the first time, writing, "The moment I held him in my arms he became my world." She later mentioned that she was considering "sharing some things like my breastfeeding experience."

While she debated doing that — and enjoying snuggles with Tristan — her husband kept the older kids engaged with a little fun. Per The Blast, the father-of-three had taken his son and daughter to the snowy mountains to ski. 

In one post he shared on Instagram, Tarek snapped a selfie of himself, his kids, and their cousin, Malia. All younger participants looked excited to be outdoors, huddling around the real estate investor. His caption read:

"Ski days with my snow monsters !!! It's so fun being able to take Tay, Bray, and their cousin Malia on weekend trips to the mountain ?⛷️?❤️."

The 41-year-old revealed that he and his mother had traveled to their cabin for the weekend. "Just missing you @theheatherraeelmoussa – and only a few more years until Tristan joins us on the slopes!! I can't wait!❤️," he concluded. 

"You really are the best dad ever. ❤️❤️❤️," one fan complimented in the comment section, while another wrote, "Good job, dad ??? you do such an amazing job. Can see the love for your family drives you ♥️."

Even his wife stepped into the comment section to write, "We miss you guys ❤️❤️❤️." The post has also received over 20k likes.
