The California native recently appeared on the talk show, "The View."  Rocking a pink knitted cardigan over a white tank top, the 36-year-old looked handsome as usual, adding a touch of bling with a gold necklace and diamond studs on his ears.

Although the discussion revolved around his career and the legacy he wanted to leave for the younger generations, the highlight of the talk show was the "Just Mercy" star's revelation about his late friend. When one of the show's hosts asked about a fond memory he shared with Boseman, Jordan got emotional.

The NAACP Image Award recalled when he knew he and the deceased actor created a lifelong bond. "There was a moment on the press tour — we were backstage, we were in London, and we were getting ready to watch the movie for the first time together," the entertainer began.

"And we looked at each other, and we were like, you know, 'we're connected for the rest of our lives.' I just remember sitting there and having a real connection, a moment with him," the TV personality continued, noting that the exchange happened before Boseman went public with his health issues.

"Obviously knew nothing at the time. I had no idea, so when things unfolded the way they did, and unfortunately, we lost him, it stuck with me," the Teen Choice Award winner confessed.

The "Fruitvale Station" actor praised his late co-star as a "hard worker," explaining that he continued working until his final moments. To Jordan, Boseman's dedication to his career during his private battle with colon cancer was a powerful gift. In the California native's words:

"That's what he left for us. You know, just every moment that you get, make the most of it. Life is short. You have a limited amount of time with the people you love and the things that you love to do. So make it worth it and make it count. That's what I carry with me as I move forward."

The deep bond between Jordan and Boseman started long before the pair met on the "Black Panther" set. Per reports, the late "42" actor was cast as Reggie Porter in the soap opera, "All My Children" in 2003. However, the South Carolina native felt uncomfortable with the role.

His character was a teen gang member, which Boseman believed was a negative racial stereotype. Although the showrunners adjusted the role using "some" of Boseman's suggestions, they replaced him with 16-year-old Jordan. When the "A Journal for Jordan" star took the role, he was not aware of the older entertainer's part in changing the character.

"I was playing this role not knowing that a lot of the things I was going through were because of what he’d already done for me," the 36-year-old admitted in a 2019 interview.

Two years may have passed, but time did not lessen the impact of the South Carolina native's passing. Lupita Nyong'o, the actor's on-screen love interest in "Black Panther," led the anniversary tributes by sharing a heartwarming video of the deceased icon.

Winston Duke, a cast member from the Marvel movie, reposted the clip on his Instagram page alongside a touching caption about Boseman's personality. "He was an incredibly generous and loving human being," the actor gushed in his message.

Letitia Wright, who played the late actor's on-screen sister, noted that she missed hearing the entertainer laugh. Additionally, fans honored the "Get on Up" star's legacy with sweet messages, most discussing what they loved most about Boseman.
