'Teen Mom' Farrah Abraham Lets Teen Daughter Get Snakebite Piercing; Faces INSTANT Backlash

Farrah Abraham is doing what she does best… pissing off social media.

The “Teen Mom” alum recently celebrated her daughter’s 14th birthday with a piercing party.

The reality TV star allowed Sophia Abraham to get six piercings in one sitting. She got “snakebite” piercings underneath her bottom lip, two earlobe piercings and two other unknown piercings.

“HAPPY 14th Birthday! #snakebite & #earlobe piercing party! 6 piercings later #snakebitepiercings you match vour snake ? can you even eat your cake?” she captioned the video.

Her daughter is definitely in her “gothic/emo phase” and living up to the aesthetic.

As you can imagine, Farrah’s decision to allow her 14-year-old to get all these piercings IMMEDIATELY garnered backlash.

“Nope too young,” one person wrote.

“Poor girl doesn’t stand a chance,” another added.

One impassioned commenter wrote, “It’s one thing to be a cool parent but it’s another to not lay down guidelines and rules. When you’re 18 graduated high school you want tattoos you want to put holes all over your body that’s on you. At 14 no you need to be the parent. I would say nope nope and nope ears piercing that’s one thing coloring here that’s cool want to dress kind of how you want to a certain extent. I think children rule parents and parents don’t parent like the good old days.”

The criticism didn’t end there.

“Her dad’s rolling in his grave right now,” one critic wrote.

If you’ve followed Farrah’s “Teen Mom” story, she lost her boyfriend and Sophia’s father, Derek Underwood, in high school. He died in a car accident in 2008 two months before Sophia was born.

“Simply ridiculous,” another comment read.

Surprisingly, there were a few supportive messages for Farrah.

“Piercings are not permanent…. She can take them out whenever. Now if she was getting tattoos at 14 ??,” one supporter wrote.

Others added comments like, “She’s not your child,” and “They’re piercings… they can be removed. The worst thing is she’ll have some holes and a badass story about her mom to tell. Y’all haters.”

Farrah is no stranger to the parenting police.

Last year, many online accused her of grooming Sophia.

In November 2022, a then-13-year-old Sophia shared a video to TikTok about a giveaway.

In it the teen has a voiceover that says, “Hey guys I’m doing a giveaway for my subscribers! To win a dose of roses black and white teddy bear: you and your friend must message me on insta in my subscriber feed, and say that you want to be entered in the giveaway.”

In case you don’t know what the “subscriber feed” is, it’s basically a subscription on Instagram to a particular influencer.

Per embedsocial.com, “Instagram subscriptions are the newest feature that enables creators to monetize from Instagram. This feature offers exclusive content and benefits to their most engaged followers at a monthly subscription fee.”

The fact that a 13-year-old child is selling subscriptions to interact with fans is scary and Reddit agrees.

“Farrah has been selling DMs with Sophia since she was like 7. The sad reality is that Farrah is grooming her daughter publicly,” one person wrote.

“I personally believe Farrah has been grooming Sophia for YEARS to step into her shoes and do the same kind of work when Sophia is of age ?,” another accused.
