Singer Pink recently discussed her motherhood journey, including her fears that she would be a bad mom. The singer shares two kids: daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 6, with her partner, Carey Hart.

Pink believes that being a mother ranks highest out of all the things she has done, even though balancing it with her career has not been easy.

Pink opened up about her motherhood experience in her cover story for People Magazine, detailing that she initially worried she would make a lousy mother.

"I did not know I was going to have a family. I didn't picture that for myself because I was terrified I would be a terrible mother," said the singer, who shares daughter Willow, 11, and son Jameson, 6, with her husband, Hart.

However, her fears about motherhood vanished with the birth of her children, and she has since embraced her role and the challenges that come with it.

She added, "But, oh my God, being a mom is the most incredible thing I've ever done. It's shocking how responsible I've become."

Balancing motherhood with her career has not been easy for the rock star mom, and she has had to make several sacrifices along the way.

Fortunately for Pink, her kids are very much understanding that she would not always be around all the time.

She recalled talking with her daughter Willow about taking more time off during her upcoming tour to attend to her school activities.

"I told her, 'It's going to suck, and I won't go longer than 10 days without you . . . or I'll quit. I'll walk away tomorrow. What do you want?'

The singer's daughter responded by advising her to focus on her performances and to stop worrying about missing her school commitments.

Pink said, "'She was like, 'Don't quit, Mama. I will just miss you sometimes. And I love what you do.' And I was like, 'I love what I do too. I worked my ass off for it, and I'm not going to apologize for that. Also, it affords you a very nice life!' "

Buoyed by all the support she receives, Pink says she tries her best to be on top of her game both as a mother and an artist.

"I want to be the best I can be at everything, and it's never good enough; it's f**king impossible," she said. "But I love being a mom, I love music, and I'm dumb lucky I get to do all of these things. I count my blessings every single day."

And indeed, the singer is living up to her expectation, as confirmed by her longtime pal, actress Selma Blair.

Blair said, "Pink would organize these annual campouts at her house with all the friends and kids. She knows the love and strength in the community. She's the ultimate mama and rock star. "

The actress added that Pink organized such activities for her friends and kids even while touring.

Before the birth of her children, Pink was swamped with comments from naysayers who told her that her career would fizzle out.

"Everyone told me, 'If you have children right now, your career's over,'" the mom of two recalled during her chat with Zane Lowe for Apple Music, per People.

Rather than experiencing a decline, Pink shared that motherhood "softened her to the world."

She further remarked, "And I think that's when my career began, really. I mean, I did a lot of stuff before that, but really, truly, I think it's when I started to really understand myself and understand the world and my place in it."
