'DWTS' Emma Slater Files For Divorce From Sasha Farber: Says It's Amicable

"Dancing With The Stars" Pro Emma Slater Has Filed to divorce her husband, Sasha Farber, after almost 5 years together. In court documents obtained by The Blast, Slater is citing "irreconcilable differences," and also wants to terminate the possibility of awarding spousal support.

The pair who got married on March 25th, 2018, have reportedly been separated since April last year.

In what is being described as an "amicable" split, Slater has officially filed to legally dissolve her union with Farber. Court documents obtained by The Blast read, "Petitioner & Respondent intend on amicably resolving all property issues in a subsequent Stipulated Judgment of Dissolution of Marriage. Petitioner reserves the right to amend if necessary."

Slater is asking the court to dissolve her marriage and to also terminate the possibility of awarding spousal support. The duo's marriage did not produce any kids so there is no request or battle over child support.

Based on the facts presented, the couple's divorce will be finalized in no time as there isn't much to fight over in court. The duo who were married for almost fives years, also have no intention of getting back together.

Slater and her soon-to-be ex-husband, Farber got married in a gorgeous wedding ceremony in March, 2018. The duo said their vows in front of friends and loved ones and "Dancing With The Stars" alum.

The former couple got engaged during a live taping of their popular ABC ballroom dancing show back in October 2016, after dating on-and-off for a while. News of their union made fans of the show incredibly happy due to what seemed like great chemistry between the two dancers while on the show.

A day after their wedding, Slater took to Instagram to share a photo of them decked out in their gorgeous wedding outfits.

Slater captioned the post, "We are beyond excited to wake up this morning as Mr & Mrs Farber! I’m so overwhelmed right now, I know I’ll share more photos but for now I just wanted to thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for all your kind and beautiful messages of love."

She continued, "Yesterday was hands down the best day of my life, I’m married to the man of my dreams ❤️ #farberwedding #MrsFarber 03/25/18."

Farber and Slater's separation was announce last year. The news of their separation came as a shock to fans who had been rooting for the duo following their live engagement and cute time together on "DWTS."

When asked about how she was fairing after her shocking split from Farber, Slater said to Extra, "I think it's been a challenging year for a lot of people… For me, I just kind of surround myself with a lot of friends and just try to uplift and do the best I can, and I really do think that that's the same for almost everybody."

Despite their romantic relationship coming to an end, Slater and Farber maintained a somewhat friendly relationship, at least as regards their gig on "DWTS."

During last year's show, Farber was partnered up with popular actress Selma Blair, and Slater, to show how supportive she was, shared a Live Instagram of the duo. Blair had to leave the competition last year due to health reasons, cutting she and Farber's time on the show short.

On Valentine's day, Farber took to Instagram to share a cute message announcing all his qualities while seemingly alerting potential partners that he is single and ready to mingle.

The talented dancer shared a photo of himself taking out the trash and captioned it, "Happppy Valentine's Day to all the ladies out there!!!!!!! I cook, I clean, and yes ladies, I take the trash out ❤️😂"

In the comment section, friends of Farber reacted to the funny image with laughing emojis, while some commented on him saying he can "cook," "clean," and "take the trash out."

Fellow "DWTS" pro Jenna Johnson joked, "And he brings muffins too!!!" while "Bachelorette" star Gabby Windey remarked, "Totally!"

Neither Farber nor Slater has been linked with anyone since their breakup.
