Shanna Moakler And Daughter Alabama Bond Over Video Games

Shanna Moakler is determined to make a gamer of her daughter Alabama!

The former Miss USA and the teenager have had their fair share of fights with each other which have been highly publicized. But lately, it seems all might be well between them as they have found a fun and low-pressure way to spend quality time together.

The reality TV star has always been open about her love for her kids, Atiana De La Hoya, from her relationship with boxer Oscar De La Hoya and London and Alabama with ex-husband Travis Barker. 

For a while, things were perceived to be a bit rocky between herself and the kids with allegations of being an absentee parent. Nevertheless, all that seems to be in the past, judging by the star's recent posts to her Instagram story.

Despite their busy schedules, the pair have chosen to bond over her love of video games. Moakler took to her page to post a picture of the 17-year-old sitting in a pink and white striped pajama set on a couch.

With large headphones over her head, she made a peace sign at the camera, covering her face. Her mother wrote across the image, "I'm making a gamer out of her ??? @alabamaluellabarker."

The 47-year-old has been open about her long-standing love for gaming and even posted a tweet with a picture of herself with a console as far back as 2019. She tweeted the snap and declared, "I like to game ?." 

The love between them looks authentic, as Alabama has taken to posting her mother on social media after a long time of not doing so. In a recent Instagram story, she shared a video of her mother sitting at a table with an open laptop. 

She wrote in the caption, "@shannamoakler Mom looks real bad even when taking meetings." Her mother then reposted it writing, "Love you @alabamaluellabarker."

The young star even recently tried to set the "Dancing with the Stars" alum up with a new beau. Since she has been single for a while now, her daughter Alabama is taking matters into her own hands. 

The Blast shared that in a recent video, Moakler revealed that she is attempting to set her up with a new romantic interest. Expressing her amusement, the model took to her Instagram story to reveal that her daughter had been taking her phone and messaging random men on Instagram. 

Looking more bemused than irritated, she said, "My daughter keeps taking my phone and writing random f*cking dudes on Instagram. She found some weirdo in a grocery store and wrote him from my phone. Bama, I'm good, I'm good."

It remains to be seen who Alabama has in mind for her mom, but it's heartening to see a mother-daughter relationship in which the two are comfortable discussing such personal matters. 

As a mother of three, Moakler has always been vocal about her dedication to her children and her role as a parent. Despite any challenges they may face as a family, she remains committed to raising happy, healthy, and successful young adults. 

Last November, The Blast shared that Moakler's relationship with her daughter Alabama had reportedly been rocky at times, with the teenager publicly expressing frustration with their bond. 

After a media outlet, Perez Hilton published a story claiming that the pair were estranged, the "The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills" guest star took to Instagram to set the record straight. 

The article featured a photo of the mother and daughter with a headline implying that they were once again at odds, which Moakler vehemently denied. "My daughter and I are not estranged," Moakler vehemently wrote on Instagram. "Wtf is this garbage," she wrote above the screenshot, adding, "we have been friends for years I'd think you'd just text me." 

She also shared a throwback photo of herself with her three children, emphasizing that she has always been a dedicated and responsible parent. The mother-of-three did not hold back in responding to the criticism, telling her haters to "f**k all of you for trying to shame me."
