Da Brat & Judy Pregnant! First Child For The Couple

Da Brat and her wife Jesseca “Judy’ Harris-Dupart are doing motherhood together! Da Brat is pregnant at 48.

The rapper is ecstatic to share that at 48 she is braving pregnancy and bringing a baby into the world. She shared a series of photos on Instagram of her bump alongside the caption, “BLESSINGS all 2023 ❤️❤️❤️”

The rapper wore an add red Chicago Bulls outfit and made sure to leave the coat open to show off the bump, or maybe it doesn’t close all the way, pregnancy will do that to you. Brat was glowing in the photos as she cradled her bump.

Judy looked at her with equal excitement in other photos, she wore a black and white stripped jumpsuit. They looked so ready for this sure to be abortable baby to get here.

Da Brat shared the story of how their baby journey came to be with PEOPLE magazine. "It started as a joke, we were like, 'We're extending our family! But then we got a huge response. It was like, 'Oh my God do we want to actually have kids, and if we do, girl, we better hurry up!' "

The rapper reveals that the journey hasn’t been the easiest and has also been a learning curve for both of them. “It's been quite a journey," recalls Da Brat. "There's a lot of stuff we learned about women over the age of 40."

Kids were not apart of any plan that Da Brat had for her life. "I never thought I was going to have kids.” She continues, "I just thought it wasn't in the cards for me. I've had a great career, a full life. I felt like, because I didn't get pregnant earlier on, then it just wasn't going to happen for me," she assumed.

The rapper shared that it wasn’t until she met Judy that she realized how much more she wanted out of life. "I started looking at life so differently," she recalls. "I was like, I want a little me with you. Something special from the both of us that we can share and raise and love unconditionally."

Brat’s wife wanted her to be the one to carry the baby because she has three kids of her own from a previous relationship and thought that her partner should have that pregnancy experience, but it took some convincing.

"I was like, nothing's gonna come out of me!" claims Brat. "We had a little tug-o-war in the beginning…but I felt like she should have the experience," said Judy. "She is so nurturing."

The first go around, Brat and her wife had a miscarriage. "I had never been so excited about something that I didn't even know I wanted," Da Brat recalled. "I fell in love with the idea and then it was all snatched away from me."

Brat is 18 weeks pregnant and feels confident sharing the news. They chose "an eager entrepreneur" as their anonymous donor. "It's just a blessing. I'm excited!" as for others pregnancy side effects. "I don't have any cravings or nausea," she claims, "but I'm always sleepy. It's crazy!"
